Hehehe...I have the new Hasegawa "Flying Shark" J-15 model. Bought it maybe a month ago. I think I posted a pic on this thread. Will see if I can find it.

May take a break from shipbuilding after the Udaloy II and before the Kuznetsov (which is going to take 3+ months) and build it.

Well, here's three pics from my Hasegawa J-15 model in 1/72 scale that I will be building soon.

I intend to build it prepared for take off with winds and horizontal stabilizors extended. It does not have the separate parts for the folded surfaces, but does have good lines there so you could easily cut them out and fold them if desired. It seems like, from that pic that the Trumpeter model will come with that option...which is nice.

I hope you have some pl-12 and pl-8 leftovers from other builds, as hasegawa didn't even try to hide the fact they just reused the molds for su-33, complete with r-27 missiles and all.

I do have extra PLAN missiles, and will use them.

I was after the decals really, because I had an old SU-33 model I was going to use to make a J-15...but now will not have to worry about the markings.

Anyhow, I will document the build here on SD.

I'm happy that there is no red star on the helmets, keeping it simple.

From what I'm reading this is from a TV movie. So some are most likely CGI. Pretty good for a TV movie if that's what it is.
