That's how PLAAF usually operates. To avoid wearing out the brakes they use parachute every time.

I have always wondered, how small can fighter towed decoys be made? As I always seen the J10 and Flanker tail parachute bays as potentially the perfect place to mount towed decoys from during actual combat operations.
