But is this really a recent image? ... and even more, I regret, there is no twin-seater based on the J-10C!

... and the most interesting point, still running on AL-31FN. But we haven't heard for any new Sino-Russian AL-31F and FN contract since years, but still they build J-10AS and J-15s at SAC which are using Russian engines.

One thing just dawned on me. @Deino is there another brigade in the Eastern Theater Command that operates the J-10C or are the recently inducted J-10Cs the first ones?

11th of November is both PLAAF anniversary as well as the most well known online shopping festival in China.

Memes aside, their details about J-10(B or C, I can't tell from below) lists something interesting:View attachment 79530
间歇性超音速巡航, or "intermittent supercruise".
Should we be taking this statement seriously?
Somewhat off topic but there's this one too! Hinting at a new transport plane?

I think it is similar to Gripen or Eurofighter where the aircraft accelerates to supersonic speed via afterburners and cruise on military thrust. Probably done with a relatively clean profile (aka no fuel tanks/medium range missiles).
