J-10 produced with WS-10 engines is HUGE news. However I would side on caution since this is not the first time that we been tricked by PS or overdraw conclusions from a few photos. Just wait for more photos and new information to come out and see.

A better comparison is the 1051 plane to the 201 plane. People say that those two are the same plane just repainted but I remember those as two different planes.

After a string of AL31F related accidents on J10, PLAF is really pissed. Now, it wants to speed up the WS10 on the new J10B.

Hi guys ...back from Hamburg an Berlin and given the J-10B/C- and CV-17-images, I think it was worth to go ... (hint, hint: between Nov 6. to 8. I'm at Telford !)

As such I try to catch up the latest news and during my "crusade for the J-10B-serials" I stumbled across these posts:

今天空19师一亲戚吃饭，歼10B共3个团，二师一个，19师56团一个，刚到10S6架，61团改装，开始说10B，后来又说接1师10A

Hmmm sounds like someone mentioned the 19, the 6, the 2. and the 1.Air Division ???
But can anyone help me out ?

Just to initiate some more discussion here's a reply from "Vincent" (CDF):

J10B equipped three regiments, second division got one, 19th division 56 regiment got one, and it just received 6 J10S. 16 regiment starts to convert. Initially said to be equipped with J10B, but now said will take hand-me-down from 1 division

As such thanks a lot, but .... so we have now at least confirmed the 171. Brigade (FTTC) with 78x0x-serials and rumours or reports about the following units:

- 2. Division - 4. Regiment: 10x3x
- 19. Division - 56. Regiment: 30x0x
- 6. Division - 16. Regiment ??? ... but 16. AR is a J-11-unit ?

But what I do not understand, what's the story about the 1. Division ? Will the 6. Division get the 1. Division's A/AS-models and the 1. Div will get B-models ?? Or where's my mistake in understanding? :what:


However Huitong also list probably a 3xx2x-serial, which would be the 21. Division ?!! :what:

Recent images (May 2015) indicated around 53 01 batch J-10Bs have been produced and were preparing for the delivery, possibly to the PLAAF Flight Test & Training Base as well as PLAAF 2nd Division (S/N 78x0x? 10x3x, 3xx0x, 3xx2x).

The person wasn't being particularly clear.

2nd and 19th Divisions are both getting a regiment apiece, that seems pretty clear cut. It becomes a bit harder to decipher what the rest of it says.

From my reading of it, he is saying 19 Div 56 Reg is getting J10Bs, 61 reg has started converting to a new type (19th Div as well?), it was originally reported they were getting J10Bs as well, but now it is said they are getting hand-me-down J10As from the 1st Division, which seems to imply the 1st Div is getting a J10B regiment (so their J10As become surplus and can be transferred to the 61st Reg).

Thanks a lot ! Regarding the 61. AR, this would make perfectly sense to Huitong's post, since this is indeed the 21. Division with 3xx2x-serials.
