Two new Brigades confirmed ... 8th (former 8. AR/3. AD) and 34th (former 34. AR/12. AD)
Divisions can be identified by rather small numbers following the pattern of ABxCx.
If You take then the letter AC - 11 You get the division.
For the Brigades they have a similar ABxCx system albeit with higher numbers: Here You need to take ABC - 611 and get the Brigade's number which is in fact usually the former regiment's number.

What's the point of Type-222? Pretty sure a keen-eyed pilot could see as far as 10km.
The same point Type 204.
don't get it......
For example in below JF17 pic, the number pattern is 13-143.
13 is year of manufacturing.
1 is the block.
43 is the serial number.
There are many different serials systems ? Luftwaffe by exampleÄhhhm ... that is a Pakistan AF serial ... it has nothing to do with the PLAAF-serial system.
For the JF-17 it is simply the first number (here 13) shows when these aircraft were delivered and the second number (here 143) means 1 = Batch 01 and 43 = 43rd build JF-17.
Otherwise I posted some time ago a longer explanation in the Flanker thread ....

The Notion of my question was, what basis you come to the conclusion that particular bird of PLAAF/PLNAF belongs to which brigade/regiment/unit & number of type...Yes, and therefore I don’t understand his question. He was asking for the PLAAF system but showed a PAF fighter.
