Great Video of J-10 but you must understand Chinese....

Show some superb footage of J-10 pulling High-G.

Basically, talk about an Ace pilot of PLAAF flying the J-10.

Mentally and body must prepare for flying J-10. Becos of J-10 great agility, modern fighter jet pilot needs to withstand very high-G which put tremendous strain on their body.

Then it talks about an incident which the canopy of J-10 flies off during one of the ace pilot training under high attitude. The pilot brave all danger , refusing to give up the plane and miraculously fly back the canopy less J-10 back to base.

After that, it talks about an exercise where it shot down a few enemy aircraft under difficult condition.

Finally, it says about the golden helmet thing which all the best pilot of whole china gather and fought for the top 10 best pilot award..

Oh man, if that incident ever hit the mainstream news, the laughing about the infamous "China quality" would never stop...

Not like it ever has, but you know.

Technically he can't be an ace if he hasn't shot down five combat planes, and so far the plaaf is not seeing any war

I'm actually surprised how few accidents have happened with J-10. Usually when designing a new generation jet, especially the first of the new generation, engineers always try to keep percentage of new technologies and manufacturing techniques to within 30%. If my memory serves me correctly, I think it was 25% or 35% of those used in F22 are new. Even at this figure, the F22 already trekked through a thorny path. With problems like canopies not able to open, to GPS not working over the Pacific, then to oxygen generator failing, plus three air-frames crashing.

The new technologies and manufacturing techniques used in J-10 surpasses a staggering 75% (to the Chinese, maybe less than 5% for the US counterpart, called a catch-up effect in economic field), yet, we have only heard of four crashes, including those in testing phase, plus no major fly-banning problems. This is really amazing.

We can say this is partially contributed by severe media censorship in China, but still, observing indirectly at the history of J-10, it is rather a stable and competent piece of achievement. The Indians on the other hand, barely designed anything of their own. They can barely even do a good job at producing matured weaponry under licenses. Almost half of all locally produced Russian and French jets have crashed, plus another 80% of indigenous helicopters. I know this is an inaccurate hyperbole/extreme exaggeration of the truth, but if you follow the Indian news, this is the impression you get.

I hope the Chinese military industry keep up the good work and improve on their future projects.

Is there any proof China produces most parts of J-10s ? ... I don't see any proof at all, perhaps all have to be imported from somewhere else ... I just copy your super duper logic :)

Obviously China produces the biggest parts of J-10. I visited Chinese Aircraft Industry and even wrote an article for a Brazilian Magazine about it. I visited Chengdu, Xian, Nanchang and a Development Center near Xian. I'm intending to scan one of the photos to use as avatar here. If my eyes serve as evidence I can say YES.

It's good news that Chinese fighter jets have less accident. But you need look into what matter. Chinese pilots are very conservative, I don't know why. Maybe they have strict regulation about flying or maybe they are afraid of taking responsibility of their equipment. The western pilots, on the other hand, are free of responsibility. I saw clips long ago, a French pilot flew his Rafael and he almost got his ass wet. A F-14 flying at sea level and blew up two water column. Chinese pilots? Their ultra low altitude is almost 50m above sea level!
