Seems like I've been hearing about this "imminent" sale forever. It's about time that it became more than just idle talk.

It's from this movie that features the J-10 I've been reading about.

Pakistani Deliveries

Another news article confirming that Pakistan has finally agreed on a price and signed for the delivery of the J-10:

The article reports that deliveries are "likely to begin from 2014-15". Seems like a long way off. I would have expected to see hardware a lot sooner if they sign by the end of 2009.

the article specifies Pakistan bought j10b, which is still under testing. It may take another year or two until the plane, all its perhaps advanced subsystems and the domestic engine for it are ready, then the production needs to ramp up... One needs to keep in mind pakistan doesnt have a lot of money and is in the process of acquiring F16s from the US. Once theyre done with that, more money will be freed up for payments to the chinese.

This may, or may not, also signal the timeframe of j10b being inducted into plaaf service...

well, the article is by Siva Govindasamy, who is not exactly trustworthy. I'm not saying J-10B would not be the one exported, but I wouldn't use Siva Govindasamy as my source.

I have no idea. I just know there's been a lot pics from this movie showing up on the web.

Besides the movie they have made a TV series about the J10.

Basically the series is about PLA setting up a special tactical air wing using J10 and the best airmen they can find. Series consists of 20 episodes.

As for the movie due out this month is called "J10 mission" or "J10 attack"
