If this picture is realy from the 28. October, then it must be another prototype / preserial .... and if I'm not wrong, the long nose-probe/sensor-pitor is missing !??

Deino
yeah, if you looked earlier in this thread, there were pictures of the prototype 03 of J-10B's first flight and this is probably it.

WS-10A is for J-11B, while WS-10B is for J-10B, as I understand.

I don't think it will be long before we see photos of J-10B with the indigenous engine.

If this is the final prototype, would you say 2011 is when production should begin? Unless, of course, they plan to use WS-10a, I doubt it though, none of the prototypes use it.
I think they might get more than 3 prototype for a big change like J-10B, so not really sure when production will begin. Sometimes in late 2011 is possible if we go by the test schedule of JF-17.

It's possible that the improved WS-10A will go on J-10B, but who knows when it will be ready?
pakistan web site claim that J-10B has retractable refueling prod.
From what I hear, yes. It's obviously not conclusive, but that's what the big shrimps say. And it certainly makes sense since they designed the J-10B to have built-in ECM pylon, IRST and that EW/communication package on the vertical stabilizer, refueling probe should be on that list too.

according to translation, aside from J-10B,a newer variant known as j-10-21 is under development, the aircraft will incoporate stealth technology and more powerful engine known as 99m1 and 99m2,the aircraft will heavier than j-10b.
but still ,we need a official confirmation.

I thought at the moment we know only one flying machine and this is the yellow-primed one, which was later painted and renumbered ??

Are they not the same aircraft ????

Remember all that hoopla about a twin engined J-10? That's why I have my doubts.

this should be it. I mean it's possible that they have produced more, but I'd say it's prototype 03.
