That is why it will continue purchasing Chinese system. French will not offer the best.
As for the intergration in Pakistan. It will not happen. Nobody knows better than Chinese who invent and build them. It will be even worst if in France. Massive project delay can be expected.
JF-17 is a 50/50 joint venture of Pakistan with Chengdu. I don't think Chengdu will allow JF-17 to be in third party country.
Just what exactly do you know is being offered to even start giving gurantees? The RC-400 and MICA is already on offer (not a variant but the RC-400 itself). We also know that an AESA radar of a different make is also on offer.
Regarding integration, firstly it is not for the first 50 so there is enough time.
Secondly, one of the primary features of JF-17 is that its airframe and avionics were decoupled right at the beginning of the project. That was one of the main hurdles before the project gathered pace.
Thirdly, either of the 3 - France, Pakistan or china could potentially integrate the radars. These systems have standard interfaces and compatibility with western avionics and weapons was one of the requirement from the word go. Ease of compatibility has been designed into the system.
The final decision will be made on what is available and for how much. If China can offer a competitive avionics package, then there is no reason to go elsewhere. If it cannot, then rest assured a western radar it will be. If necessary, the numbers could be reduced rather than the quality.
It has been done on the F-7 in Pakistan with Grifo radar and it can be done again if required.
