First time I hear about this. Would you mind posting some link about that?

WS13 first flight on JF17 was about 2 years ago. There were some official reports along with problems encountered & fixed.
Never saved the links. Of course it's only prototype JF17, not those in PAF, at least not operational ones.

In late December 2009, Russian state arms exporter Rosoboronexport signed a contract with China to deliver 43 RD-93 engines. China would receive the engines by the end of 2009. The first 25 engines had been manufactured at the Chernyshev mechanical engineering enterprise in Moscow. The December contract was worth $160 million. The contract completed the framework agreement signed in 2006 to deliver 100 RD-93 engines to China. Russia had already supplied 57 such engines.
...............

Contracts can always be signed, re-signed, modified etc especially those with Russia.
Heard anything about upgraded RD93 ? Read that Russia is offering something better to compete with WS13B.
Maybe that's what holding the engines delivery, thus block2 production.

Right, somebody asked me at the navy section to post some J-10A pics I took during my recent visit to China Aviation Museum, so in the spirit to keep things on topic I post them here.

Just 2 you ask? Yes, there should've been more, but my PQI wifi-SDHC card gone kaput on me and I've lost about 1/3 of the pics I took on the trip (and of that 1/3, over 50% were those I took @ the museum! Zog!)...

Anyway, they also got a Al-31 engine cut open, if any of you lot fancy that give me a shout and I'll toss that one in too.
