It is indeed just finished with RCS testing outside on the airfield. The design and parameters have probably been verified. Now the production will start up with pre production examples and they will flight test them before starting up a production line. J10A will then continue this year probably. Just like the J10S. I am really curious whether there will be a certain upgrade package for those J10A in the coming 5 years. And looking forward to adding newer weapons to J10B. As far as I can see they have not flight tested those newest weapons. Maybe they did behind the curtains...

Something I do not understand is that the ECM or RWR in front of the canard is gone in the pre-production plane...

But it could be something my source told me some time ago... The one with the ECM/RWR in front of the canard is the Fc20 for PAF. So far the source was 100% correct so...

And confirmation that 12 Div 36 Regt is converting to J-10A (has probably moved from the abandoned Jinan airfield to the new airfield at Qihe) - more surprisingly to be followed by the South Sea Fleet's J-8BH/DH-equipped 9 Div 25 Regt at Lingshui.

I am pretty sure Lot 00 was six J-10 (01-06 at FTTC). Surprising (to me) that the first three production lots were only 24 each. That Lot 06 (as well as Lots 4 and 5) consists of 40 J-10A was known from 6-40, as mentioned.

The rest will require a lot of study.

I saw this coming out on Chinese bbs over the weekend. Not entirely sure about the two new regiments that he posted, but the production numbers for last year looks to be a little bloated. I kind of doubt that they produced 24 J-10S. But regardless, the production number for this past year was much larger than 2011.

I agree that the 2012 output looks bloated. I had made it 36 J-10A (6-13 - 6-40, 7-01 - 7-08) and 11 J-10S (2-28 - 2-38), a total of 47.

H9S25T as a J-10A regiment has been mentioned before, and as you can see from my post, there has been fresh information about K12S36T.

The text is quite clear on the first issue: the 40 J-10 in Lot 07 will go to K12S36T (24) and H9S25T (16). 7-01 – 7-08 were produced in 2012, the remaining 32 accordingly in 2013. So the last two J-10A regiments will be formed this year.

K12S36T Jinan had J-7B. It is K12S34T Wendeng that has J-7G.

H9S25T Lingshui has J-8BH/DH (as I wrote). It is H8S24T Jialai that has J-7EH.

I do not understand the question about H4S12T – trp = transport regiment? If so, no. H4S12T Feidong has J-10AH. Are you mixing it up with K4S12T, which is now a transport regiment at Qionglai?

I am sceptical about number 13 of the FTTC J-10 regiment at Gucheng, I think it was 1 Regt, now renumbered with 78x1x which ought to indicate 170 Brigade. I think it has 21 aircraft, corresponding to nos. 78011 – 78211.

It is a tight fit, but they just match:

Production according to the figures quoted totals 306.

The PLAAF/PLANAF inventory (including my figure of 21 for FTTC) is 305.

Ok, it 's that is what is interesting
I see today 36Rgt/12 Div/ are equiped at Qihe/MR Jinan
For J-10 Rgts I have a total of 8 combat and in more 170 Br/OEU/Agressors about 225 J-10.


For the rest my information are Scramble very good site updated regularly but with China that is often difficult knowledge.
And former rgts are now called Brigades, there also to new divisions.
It not influence on the distribution of aircraft.

For 12rgt/4Div i see MR Chengdu 4 Trp div at Chengdu/Qionglai
