Not often you see PLAAF fighters being refueled. The 8 Div HU-6 appear to have been renumbered 10x9x.

I think the J-10 is somehow short-leg, otherwise it wouldn't need up to three external fuel tanks. Anybody has the exact range of this bird?

Carrying external fuel tanks does not equate to short leg, it just meant you want to go long distance and endurance. At around 550 km combat radius with internal fuel only is comparable to F-16, though exact range is possibly is still a state secret.
