Where is the official news other than chit chat in Chinese BBS provide link
If china can serial produce AESA with 100 scan and 20 track Why is so difficult to program little AESA with only 10 scan and at most 4 or 5 track.

You always giving excuses yea but avionic and computer is different I think that is cop out

aesa radar is no lonbger just ordinary radar looking for aircraft and guiding missile,aviation week claim that AESA equipt fighter is part of the over all net centric warfare, information obtain from radar or EO can be either upload or down load to main headquarter ,navy,land base AD or to other fighter.
this require highly complex million of line of solfware.to date only the USAF have this kind of capaility,witness the iraq and afghanistan air war.
even the european AF despite there investment,still has to rely on the US for support.

My belief is that instead of all new AESA, China could follow USAF APG-63V-3 program.
APG-63 V-3 AESA is not all new AESA radar, it was design as "drop in" ,this is to reduce risk and cost.
already russia has similiar approach for T-50,SU-27/30 AESA program.
Likely China choose similiar path.the PESA radar antenna could interchange with AESA antenna.

Not surprisingly. Russia´s GDP per capita (PPP) is 15.600$ while china is 7.600$. (source: CIA factbook)

There's a problem with that data. It's about the average pay in each country. It's not comparing Moscow and Shanghai wages for example. So I consider it very difficult to tell something about different pays of military equipment developers, although the tendency seems to be right that Chinese probably earn less than Russians.
