Ministry of Industry and Trade Ministry announced a competition to create a powerful multi-core microprocessor for 760 million rubles. The project entered the federal program number 1 "Development of Weapons" by order of the Russian Government "On Amendments to the state defense order for 2011 and the planning period of 2012 and 2013."


According to the concept of customers, peak performance of a microprocessor must be a minimum of 150 Gflops (the ability to produce 150 billion operations per second). To achieve such performance will be used from 8 to 12 cores. For control of computers, developed using data processors will be used domestic operating system "Elbrus".

It's the usual bashing, we are better than you because we are much more clever. The claim is that Chinese don't have as good software as the US. Now a very big club is used to convince people of the opposite. Who can run a supercomputer can also develop über-super-software.

my answer is yes, China did openly admitted there weakness in system integration.
developing solfware for supercomputer and avionic system are different.

Where is the official news other than chit chat in Chinese BBS provide link
If china can serial produce AESA with 100 scan and 20 track Why is so difficult to program little AESA with only 10 scan and at most 4 or 5 track.

You always giving excuses yea but avionic and computer is different I think that is cop out
