That's it basically. EODAS is just 360 degree MAWS on steroids. I think NG showed it could track a ballistic missile in boost phase at 1000km away or something crazy like that which looks good on a brochure.
Huzhigeng is pretty reliable (J-20 predictions) but take all big shrimps with a grain of salt.
I was under the impression that the EODAS is a complete passive detection system, and MAW is just one of the functions it can perform. It should also take over for IRST for passive detection of enemy aircrafts, and be able to take high resolution images of faraway things/places, among other capabilities. Also, EODAS doesn't have to be 360 degrees, though it seems like the J-20 would employ it in that manner ala the F-35
Well by definition EODAS doesn't have to be 360 degrees, it's just that northrop have been marketing it as "full 360 detection, tracking etc etc".
I think most MAWS on 4+ generation aircraft have some degree of tracking, so I stick to the description that F-35's "EODAS" is just MAWS on steroids.
Not as capable as the F-35's though.

某新型导弹装备部队以来，兄弟单位几次实弹打靶成绩都不理想。该团飞行员查阅导弹资料，对比分析数据，空中反复试飞检验。终于，在奉命千里机动远赴西北大漠进行复杂电磁环境下空空导弹实弹打靶训练中，该团发射导弹18枚，全部准确命中目标！第二年，部队新一批飞行员再次打靶，18枚导弹又打了个满堂红，打出了该型导弹最好成绩！
一位飞行员说：“这两次打靶，我们不仅是冲着百分之百的命中率而去的，还带着研究去打，中距弹、近距弹，从哪个角度、以何种方式……将每枚导弹都打出一种体会。因为我们觉得，今天我打靶机，就是为了明天打敌机！有战斗背景的命中率才算数。”
“这是勇敢者的机场！”第一次在华南某机场驻训时，有飞行员如此感叹。该机场风景秀美，但地势险要，环境恶劣，常年浓雾弥漫，跑道尽头是悬崖峭壁，下面就是茫茫大海，歼击机转场驻训还是首次。进驻次日中午时分，机场薄雾笼罩，能见度差。突然警报声大作，不明空情不期而至，小分队迅速战斗转进。
“空战没有雨雪阴晴之分，只要祖国需要，我们能随时起飞。”指挥员果断发出战斗起飞的命令。随后，两名飞行员驾机冲破雾气腾空而起，成功完成监视警戒任务。

If the Guangzhou MR fighter regiment was equipped with J-10 five years ago, it must be 5 Regt/2 Fighter Division at Guilin.
