Is it just my imaginings, or does 60289 looks like it has the beginnings of a canted nose? Damn leaf is in the way, but it certainly doesn't look as straight as 60288. Or maybe its just the glare playing tricks on my eyes.

Are there any more shots of these planes? Especially 60289?

No that is a J-10S. I could see the reinforcing bars on the intake.

They're ugly aircraft, but no doubt effective when china's jet engine manufacturing improves. Those aren't armed I see.

Yes, I had noticed that it is a J10S, however that does not mean it cannot have a canted nose, especially if it's a new build going to the test centre. I wish there were better shots so we can tell for sure.

I saw the reinforcing bars man. You can see it too if you look closely.

I never said it was a J10BS. There is no reason why they would have to have a DSI in order to put in a canted nose for ESA radar.

If that is in fact a canted nose, then it will actually be a lot more significant than just a twin seat J10B, as a canted nose on a J10A model would potentially allow all existing J10As to be upgraded with ESA radar if so desired, whereas a canted nose on a J10BS would only mean future new builds would get ESA.
