So there is no publicly known price tag of J-10, how about JF-17? Is there even an estimate?

The price tag on the basic JF-17 package (no weapons, maintenance support, etc.) is 15 million dollars. This is the price that China is selling to Pakistan but given the long standing friendship between the two nations/the fact that Pakistan was a joint partner in the JF-17 venture I wonder if China will raise the price when exporting to other countries.

According to Wikipedia (not the most reliable source though), the cost of the project is around US$500 million dollars shared 50-50% between the Chinese and Pakistan.

Estimated cost per unit is around $US15 million... but that is a price tag slapped on for purchase of the plane by the Chinese or the Pakistanis. However I would be doubtful that this price will remain the same if another third party country was to purchase it.

The same cost as I have listed in my above thread will still apply and I believe both Pakistani and the Chinese would wanted more profit to be make in these sales too. So the price tag might be a bit higher... but I doubt it will be higher than the cost for purchases of a Mig-29 and/or old F-16A/B.

$25m for J10? Would you be kind enough to reveal the source of the claim?

I thought J10 would be somewhere at $35m price range (without any upgrade).

You do not see the question mark? ----?---- cus ,I am not sure if the 25 million price tage was correct.
.but some sources claim that pakistan seeking some sort of discount price for there purchase of J-10.

In recent visit of Serbian Minister of Defense mr. Zoran Sutanovac, PLAF demonstrated capabilities of J-10 and showed interest to participate in contest for new Serbian Air Force multirole fighter.

Although Serbia does not have much money for a great number of planes, if J-10 is chosen, it would be a great breakthrough for this great plane on world market. I wonder what is the price of J-10 compared to other aircraft (JAS-39 Gripen, F-16 block 50, Dassault rafale, Eurofighter Typhoon, MiG-29M2, Su-30...), and would China be ready to sell us PL-12/SD-10 missiles?
I believe that it could be a nice start for greater military cooperation between China and Serbia, and maybe it could be possible for our defense industries to cooperate on some projects.

Best regards from Serbia.

depends on a lot of things. The version that China gets is probably in the 25 to 30 million range. However, that does not include missiles, spares and servicing. On top of that, you'd expect the export version to have higher profit margin. I'd say a package for around $40 million each would probably be right, but that would be the cheapest of any of the options you guys can find.

To rhino: thanks for the explanation, I was referring to the fly away cost, which is of course only a potion of the package.

To challenge: my apology for the mis-reading of your post.

Another catch might be the buyer's demand to integrate non-Chinese components on J10 (radar?), which would reduce the price CAC originally put on it, not to mention the extra work to be done.

01prototype, even the colour's the same (darkened on the photo). I doubt the picture was taken recently.

Agreed ... I also think this is an old picture only published now.

But these here seem to be new (at least the date says 9.9.10) ... and since they include a yellow J-10B, it seems to be a new (no. 4th flying ??!!) prototype.
