Finally my first post. I registered after around 1.5 year of lurking :)

This picture is clearly a fake. The background in the picture is "Faisal Mosque" in Islamabad, Pakistan. There is pretty much no way that a new version of J-10 would end up flying over islamabad, specially since Pakistan is not involved in that aircraft in any way.

Thanks mkhan ... and wellcome here !

I completely agree ... it's so obvious that this is a FAKe .. and not even a good one.
It not even has the B's DSI-intake nor any other mentioned modifications ... sorry, but even a blind one can see that.

few months ago, there's a picture showing small J-10 model fitted with conformal fuel tank undergoing test in wind tunnel. the wind tunnel located in Xian.

Your point being? Is it that there is a picture showing a small J-10 model with conformal fuel tank undergoing the test in wind tunnel, would actually support you on the fact that the pic shown in the bullshit article you have given are real?

I mean, come on, it is common sense that no one would show a much advance version of fighter to a second country like this.

Captain
does anyone have the total wing area of the J-10?

Or if you want, I could go to the China Aviation Museum and measure it, but I'd need instructions and I don't want to irritate the guards.

"Pinko" posted dimensions from the China Aviation Museum indicating length and weight. It indicates that the plane is longer than the Eurofighter, but with a shorter wingspan.

Regarding the new J-10B pictures, it seems as if the next phase in testing has begun ... or maybe even operational intruduction !

Would be interesting to see the numbers.

the LRU for AESA radar has to be small and compact ,enough to fit inside the compartment, with enough space for IRST.
similiar to northrop-gruman SABR radar . (see latest issue /
