Because it has been reported that these are custom birds. You can tell from pictures that they have modified the tail to incorporate what looks like a smoke generator where the normal J10s have the landing chute. There are likely to be other modifications, but its hard to tell visually.

Aren't those minor differences? The same can be said of the Blue Angels and the Thunderbirds but they are combat ready if needed. You would think that China would probably need them more if pressed into service. So why leave components out of them just for demonstration purposes.

There was some speculation too that the J-15 was going to be possibly this other "different" design, shown on Huitong's site as well, yet it turned out to be just like an Su-33. I hope that the J-XX does have a delta configuration as it's being speculated because at least it'll be different than others. I'm definitely not in the camp as some who seem to be completely happy with China making look-a-like copies.
I agree. i think that j-xx is a fundamental project for China´s defence aircraft industry. If j-xx turns out to be just an advanced j-10b/j-11b, then it will show that china cant design new fighters.

Ive noticed that the j-xx design in this image is very different from the design in huitong´s website. Why? and whom do you think is more accurate?
I don't think there's a real answer to "why". As A-mace said, we don't know what J-XX will look like.
I'd think that Huitong gets his stuff from various chinese bbs' - likely he views some sources as more reliable than others.
The guy who put up the original drawing of a possible J-XX (the one which looks like Anjian, and with the weird, "clipped" wing shape) seemed to know his stuff, and when a picture of it in 3D came out I'd think it was prudent to put that pic into the magazine (rather than huitong's "j-xx" pic, because it's a bit dated)
If there's one thing following the chinese military dictates is to take no sources as gospel.

(70092 hasn't showed up on the new gen fighter thread for a while... hmm a few of his predictions haven't come true either.)

Hey ... the Russian Press seems really funny !!!! :D

«In the summer of 2007 a Chinese J-10 fighter “Tzianbin-10”, created on Israeli Lavi basis with Russian engines АL-31FN, managed to shoot
down an American multipurpose fighter of the 5th generation F-22 Raptor above the Taiwan Strait.
During the incident subflight Su-30 blocked other American Air Force aircraft off the “Feathered Raptor”. The shot down Raptor fell down the continental part of China and after that was taken to pieces “for spare parts” by the locals. And the successfully catapulted F-22 pilot was “quietly” – by mutual consent of the parties – sent by the Chinese to the American Command…».
