Can confirm the above post is correct :D Man, the Mirage 2000 is getting hammered! Maybe the Chinese still haven't the French ordeals from 2008? oh well, I do agree with most of the points, although I think the agility of the Mirage shouldn't be bad since it's got a pretty advanced delta wing structure

The categories are :

1. Avionics
2. Agility
3. Fire Control System
4. Ground Attack capabilities
5. Ease/Cost of Maintenance

He also explained that F-16's inferior agility is due to the US BVR-doctrine and not tecnical reasons. And that F-16's low maintenance cost is due to high production volume.

Thanks for explaining.

I made the below for myself but thought othedrs might find it useful too!

I wonder how the Rafale, Eurofighter, and J-10B would be ranked.

Here is a bunch of quotes about how remarkable the Eurofighter is:

. I have even read of a DACT where 1 Eurofighter defeated 3 F-16C jets.

Reposting of an old clip. This is probably from 2007/8. An interview with the deputy designer of J-10.

He said at that time that there are 2 4th gen projects (kind of true, although only CAC one is official right now).
He talked about a naval fighter and he says it's going be based on su-30.
He says that J-7, J-8, J-10 can also be refueled in the air. Although, I have never seen it for J-7.
He talked about China was trying to get Mirage-2000 before the embargo, but wanted to get the production technology along with it. The French would not give it and sold it to the Taiwanese.
J-10's radar can detect aircraft from 150 km out.

Its interesting that most of the August 1st J10s seem to be twin seaters, which would suggest that these are new, and possibly custom, built airframes. When I first heard reports that the Aug 1st were getting J10s, I assumed they would be getting some early production birds, possibly the CFTE birds, with all new buids going to front line units.

It would suggest that the PLAAF has decided to slow the pace of J10 induction if they managed to squeeze capacity for their display team to get new build J10s instead of focusing on building up new regiments as fast as possible.

I wonder if this is because of the advanced stage the J10B has reached and the PLAAF is just waiting for testing to be completed to go with that over getting more J10As.

J-10 radar search distance 150 km;
China is working on J-13, J-14 and developing very fast;

and many other information.
