Missiles can be built, stored and launched anywhere, Israel's jets can operate from roads but needs airbases to generate enough sorties to operate at the edge of their combat radius.

It also takes much longer to fly subsonic from Israel to Iran than missiles fly hypersonic from Iran to Israel.

Most importantly Israel's capabilities are the same as 30 years ago so Iran has plenty of time to at least try to adapt, while Iran's capabilities has just been demonstrated for the first time 48 hours ago and Israel had no time to adjust.

The upcoming exchange of fire will be interesting, and Israel will attack, they cant afford for Iran bombing them be normalized the same way them bombing Lebanon gets normalized

Video footage of the MQ-9 drone shot down by Yemen last night. Pitch darkness intercept means they aren't using any type of VLOS guidance.

A more important message Iran sent with these attacks was received in Washington. The war mongers who thought they could bomb Iran from the safety of Gulf States now know that their bases- which are only a few hundred KMs from Iran - would be vaporised in an instant.

That millennium challenge war game never lied after all

That was an entertaining read. Once they realized Iran is wrecking them, they rigged the exercise so USA would survive. Rofl

Looks like random pins across the map. Not even craters. How reliable is this Dr. Jeffrey Lewis from the Department of State? Last I remember, DOS is full of Israeli American dual-citizens or Jewish Zionists including the current executive Antony "Angel of Death" Blinken.

Satellite images could have been released in a day. 3 days delay means 3 days extra time to manipulate.

3 days is more than enough to fill up the craters and clean up the debris and wreckages if any, major damages to buildings will of course persist but still. We'll probably not get a true sense of damage unless third party like China or Russia provide photos immediately after the strike

Returning on topic, whatever Iran threw had reasonable accuracy. It seems interceptions could have thrown the missiles off course.

Ultimately expected in a situation where they don’t have air cover to enable a successful strike. In all honesty, if Israel’s ability to fight is this poor on the ground, if they lose the protection umbrella of the USA in the near future, we may expect a reverse Gaza situation and it will be the wests (government mainly) turn to complain about human rights and for most of the global south to show complete indifference.I wonder if Israel has enough of a weapon stockpile to weather such a situation. Does Netanyahu know what he is getting into?
