I think this proves how difficult it is to shut down an airbase. Despite the huge expenditure of ballistic missiles they’ve had zero apparent effect on Israel’s ability to continue their air campaign.

In fact, Israel’s air campaign is back to its highest intensity not seen since last year.

You misunderstood the purpose of Iran's strike. A proper airfield suppression mission involves sustained barrage as modern military airfields are expected to be able to repair runway damages within a couple of hours, cluster munitions and antipersonnel mines are dispersed to impede repair work.

What is of importance is whether Iran managed to destroy any high value targets, unfortunately we're not getting that information as Israel and US is suppressing that information

this was already proven.

Dozens of Tomahawks couldn't even shut down a Syrian airbase after 5 years of civil war, for more than a few hours. There were planes taking off the same day.

Purpose of strikes on airbases are more to destroy aircraft and control equipment. It should be done in conjunction with air force.

In this case, Iran just struck to humiliate Israel. They could have hit a much harder to repair target like factories/oil refineries which would also be much less defended than the literal no1 airbase in Israel. But they did it to show that they're in a position of strength and can overcome Israel's most concentrated defenses, like when US sailed ships into China's most defended waterways during the 3rd straits crisis.

What Iran did was obviously not aimed to suppress airfield so your little observation is irrelevant. What is of importance is whether Iran managed to destroy any high value targets, unfortunately we're not getting that information as Israel and US is suppressing that information
That tweet illustrated well the unsatisfactory accuracy of Iran’s missiles at that range.

My takeaway is that even if they wanted, they don’t have the means to properly shut down an Israeli air base other than disrupting it with repeated missile strikes that hit little of relevance. Obviously, at that point Israeli jets would be on their way to bomb targets in Iran and inflict actual damage.

I haven’t seen any evidence that they managed to hit anything smaller than a big airbase that stretches over several square kilometers: they missed Mossad HQ by 500 meters:

They might still have utility for strategic bombardment of large industrial targets, but little utility in striking military targets.

That tweet shows very nicely how inaccurate Iran’s missiles are at that range.

They hit the hangars. It's about as good as what Ukraine can do and a bit worse than what Russia/US can do.

I don't know what youre arguing for or expecting. You would use a sustained barrage together with planes to fully put out of commission an airbase. And Iran isn't even particularly trying to perma that base.

The same applies to Israel's retaliation raid on Latakia. They didn't even manage to put holes on the runway. Without sustained campaign, you're not expecting permanent results.

Even in that one photo where we saw a clear hit showed a pinpoint strike on the middle of a hanger so what are you talking about? Even their 2020 strike on US airbase already displayed decent accuracy.

Iran had never claimed they can shut down Israeli air base did they? Or are you putting up a strawman here? They demonstrated the abilities to severely damage Israeli military infrastructure or civilian infrastructure if need be. That is the importance of those strike, not some hypothetical abilities to shut down airfields or whatever

Out of 32 impacts sites, I saw one clear hit on a hangar and another potential hit. That doesn’t include missiles that were intercepted or failed to reach the target.

The strike on the airbase in Iraq showed much better accuracy, but the range to target was shorter in that case.

We did not see 32 impact sites at all, that photo is so low-resed I don't even know how anyone can spot any hits or craters. The only high-resed photo we saw was that one hanger hit

**from Iran

Hezbollah RPGs and IEDs vs IOF D9 bulldozers, Merkava 4s, armored utility vehicles.
Some suspected IOF didn't provide infantry screens for their tanks in Gaza due to the urban rubble, but here are open fields with Israel following the same tactic. Hezbollah fighters are running up to tanks to shoot them.

Ultimately expected in a situation where they don’t have air cover to enable a successful strike. In all honesty, if Israel’s ability to fight is this poor on the ground, if they lose the protection umbrella of the USA in the near future, we may expect a reverse Gaza situation and it will be the wests (government mainly) turn to complain about human rights and for most of the global south to show complete indifference.I wonder if Israel has enough of a weapon stockpile to weather such a situation. Does Netanyahu know what he is getting into?
When you're totally confident that your victory is promised by God, then these kinds of what if thoughts about failure or reversal never arise. And if they do (as noted on TikTok, Israeli youngsters unsure of their reality, seeking approval of foreigners), then there is a plethora of propaganda to reinforce the dogma back into your cranium.
