I do believe we are witnessing the islamic awakening akin to saladin uniting the caliphate to take back jerusalem. All the Muslim world needs now is a Saladin to lead them to victory. I only hope it doesn’t culminate in the modern equivalent of the siege of Acre.

Can you give us the original source instead of a link to X? If Israel go through with the genocide and the U.S. support Israel with military action - the U.S. will be seen as co-responsible for a genocide. Thus, the U.S. will lose most if not all it´s soft power in West Asia and across the Islamic world. What is clear is that the United States needs this war in Israel as the U.S. proxywar in Ukraine has gone to shit. Israel was supposed to launch their ground operation against Gaza at 16:00. The time is 22:20 in Israel. Maybe the U.S. and Israel got cold feets?

if US air power is joining the fight, then Israel with its 500K mobilized will be able to steamroll Hezbollah unless Iran joins the fight. Iran will probably stay away from this.

So, most likely outcome is Israeli victory and Hezbollah simply saying out.

Atleast that's what conventional wisdom would suggest. However, this war is no longer about rational decision making anymore. Its about emotions of anger, hatred and grievance.

If Muslims become angry enough about a potential Israeli ethnic cleansing and leveling of Gaza, then maybe they will ignore rational calculations and simply jump right into this fight including Iran and Egypt. Maybe even Gulf Arabs will be too guilt ridden to not do anything and atleast do something like an oil embargo.

The US and the west are heavily invested on Israel emotionally, will most likely will not even hesitate to do a conscription and full ground invasion if Israel was threatened enough by muslims. They will ignore everything, including losing Ukraine or Taiwan if it means they need to save Israel.

So pretty much anything can happen in this conflict. No way to predict where this will go with parties emotionally charged.


There is one way out though. Which is that Israel swallows this humiliation by Hamas and does no ground invasion. If Muslims show enough spine then US might chicken out and force Israel to swallow this attack with only an aerial bombing campaign.

constantly hearing ground operation news from credible journalist and media news outlets. but nothing happened so far.

I am not sure if this is a smart move for Iran. Intervening would give US/Israel an excuse to attack them and I believe that Iranian proxies are already doing a good job at bleeding out their enemy Israel.

US attacking Iran with 85 million people, huge domestic arms industry and huge chokehold over Hormuz is also not a rational decision either. So, its hard to know if US is also just posturing. Iran may also be just bluffing.

Or maybe no one is bluffing and they will all jump into this just cause they are so emotionally charged.

This gives me the feeling of WW1 and how everyone started fighting even though no one wanted to fight. But they were so emotionally charged, angry, worried that they all had to fight regardless of the losses.

This is now a game of Chicken. Who will follow through on their words will be what determines how big the war gets.
