Hezbollah pummeled the Metulla settlement with their heavy explosive Burkan rockets leaving lots of damage in the town along with the power and communications disrupted. Hezbollah basically said that Netanyahu’s goal to allow settlers to return to the north will never happen.

The following are the most important points mentioned in Hassan Nasrallah's speech:

-The number of eye injuries is high and there is pressure on hospitals, which are making a great effort.

-We thank the countries that rushed to provide support and medical assistance, led by Iran and Iraq.

-The Israeli enemy targeted thousands of pagers and crossed all laws, regulations and red lines. Some of the explosions occurred in hospitals, markets, public roads, homes and locations where civilians were mainly present.

-Dozens of martyrs fell, including children among the victims. Thousands were injured, and the final numbers will appear later.

-Through Tuesday's pager explosions, the Israeli enemy wanted to kill 4,000 people in one minute, along with those around them.

-For two days, the Israeli enemy wanted to kill about 5,000 people in two minutes without any consideration.

-What happened was a major terrorist operation and we will adopt the definition of what happened on Tuesday and Wednesday as two massacres.

-We can call what happened on Tuesday and Wednesday a declaration of war.

-Some pagers were far from their users and some were not distributed at all.

-We have reached a semi-definitive conclusion regarding the circumstances of the bombings but we are waiting to confirm them.

-There is no doubt that we have been exposed to a major security and humanitarian blow that is unprecedented in the history of the resistance in Lebanon.

-We know that the enemy has superiority on the technological level because it has American and NATO support.

-war is a contest and Tuesday and Wednesday were two heavy days for us.

-This big and strong blow did not bring us down and will not bring us down.

-One of the most important elements of pressure on the enemy entity and one of the most important fronts of attrition is the Lebanese front.

-The Lebanese front is one of the most important negotiation tools that the Palestinian resistance possesses.

-On Tuesday, messages arrived through official and unofficial channels that the goal of the strike was to stop the Lebanese front

-We tell the enemy government and the enemy army that the Lebanese front will not stop before the war on Gaza stops, and we said this previously.

-Despite the sacrifices and martyrs and despite all the consequences, the resistance will not stop helping the people of Gaza and the West Bank
The resistance's adherence to all its positions means that the Israeli enemy did not achieve its goals.

-The enemy worked to strike the resistance environment, exhaust it and weaken it through large-scale bombings in order to pressure the resistance leadership.

-We see great patience and high morale from all the wounded in hospitals and the wounded of the resistance who are determined to carry out their mission.

-The enemy wanted to strike the command and control system in a way that would spread a state of chaos in the structure of the resistance, and this did not happen for a single moment.

-The large-scale bombings did not affect the structure of the resistance and its readiness on the ground was high in anticipation of any military action.

-In Israel, there is talk of an escalation in the north and there are those who talk about a comprehensive war.

-I say to Netanyahu and Galant, you will not be able to return the residents to the north and this is the challenge between us.

-The only way to return the residents to their areas is to stop the aggression on Gaza and the West Bank.

-The escalation you will undertake will remove the opportunity for those residents to return to the north, but the opposite will happen.

-They (Israeil) are talking about establishing a security belt inside Lebanese territory and we hope that they will try to do so.

-We consider any entry into Lebanese territory a historic opportunity that will have major effects on the battle.

-Netanyahu, Galant, Ben-Gvir and Smotrich are leading their entity to the abyss with their foolish leadership.

The number of dead actual Lebanese fighters seems rather insignificant in the grander war. Compared to two radical Jewish terrorists that have been eliminated today, the Lebanese losses are actually pretty typical for these engagements
Thousands of hezbollah members will not be able to participate in the coming invasion by Israel and it's starting to look like the hezbo members carrying pagers were Leftenants/field commanders folks with some sort of leadership status.

As chaos rules hezbollah they are now ripe for the picking by Israeli air force striking many rocket launch sites

I don't think it would have helped had Hezb sourced its electronics entirely from China. I'm hearing that the pager shipment was held up in Jordanian customs for three months and it's likely this is where the tampering happened. Obviously, if Israel has access to a warehouse with Hezbollah's goods for months on end, it wouldn't matter where they came from.

If so, it's strange that these goods passed through Jordan at all. They should have gone from Iran through Iraq and Syria to Lebanon. Why pass them through a country everybody knows cooperates closely with Israel? Nobody raised the alarm when they were held up for three months?

The deeper problem than these goods' origin is the fact that Iran is deeply infiltrated by Israel, it's more shot through than a sieve. Remember the days when Israel would kill an Iranian nuclear scientist every month? Hell, they blew up that Hamas leader while he was in Iran. That society is compromised to a shocking degree.

Passing Jordan isn't surprise to me, remember the pagers are made in Taiwan, a closet ally to US/Israel. Also the supposed company BAC is in Hungary. It is this cover company actually bought and sold these pagers. They certainly arranged the transportation. The problem is that Hezbollah and Iran got fooled by a cover company of Israel.

I suspect what actually happened was that Iran/Hezbollah tried to bury their purchase in daily commercial trade, therefor they did not make the deal and arrangement of logistic directly, instead they turned to a trader BAC. They did not know that BAC is actually Israeli cover.

Seems like Israel really nearly only managed to hit civilians. Hezbollah front activity as usual, command as usual. Wonder if someone tipped off Hezbollah last second? Maybe that's why Israel couldn't set off the bombs the same moment as they begin an offensive, which should be by far the best opportunity.

Surely Israel must still try and attack within a few days, or they've just destroyed even more of their country without getting anything from it.

Iran never expelled its Jewish population, unlike the Arab states.

However, the attacks inside Iran have noticeably reduced even as the nuclear program advances

Lebanon's UN mission: Communication devices were booby-trapped before reaching the country

Initial investigations by Lebanese authorities have shown that the walkie-talkies that exploded this week “were booby-trapped before arriving in Lebanon,” Lebanon’s permanent mission to the United Nations said in a letter to the UN Security Council on Thursday.

“Initial investigations have shown that the targeted devices were professionally booby-trapped… before arriving in Lebanon,” the letter, sent to the council ahead of a meeting on the issue on Friday, said.

According to the Lebanese letter, authorities also found that the devices, which included pagers and other walkie-talkies, were detonated by sending electronic messages to the devices. The mission added that Israel was responsible for planning and executing the attacks.

if it's not obvious already this was not some sort of a high tech cyber attack that turns batteries into bombs. all of these divices had small bombs planted into them & Hezbolah was importing them not realizing that their supply chain is compromised.

Even more likely is they bought from a local Lebanese commercial retailer/dealer, with neither knowing the origin and logistics.

That is assuming only Hezbollah bought the devices, of which there is no evidence.
