Drama in Tel Aviv. Apparently Netanyahu along with Smotrich, Ben Gvir are trying to get Gallant out of the government. He is the only one that’s preventing Israel from waging war against Hezbollah. They want to replace him with Gideon Sa’ar who said straight up he will not be part of a government unless there is war plans against Hezbollah. The thinking is Netanyahu might be crazy enough to start a war in the coming weeks.

The reasons are that we are coming to the one year anniversary of the Al Aqsa Flood operation. He may need a distraction because the commemoration will likely lead to widespread protest and anger at the govt for the Israeli failure to detect the raid and failure of the Gaza war.
Another is the weather. Winter is about 3-4 weeks away in that region which means cloudier skies. Israeli ground forces are dependent on close air support. If they do nothing they’ll have to wait until spring 2025 for a military operation. Another reason is because Netanyahu has a court date in December. A war basically postpones the court date.

And lastly a war against Hezbollah would influence the US presidential elections. We have a saying here called “October surprise.” It means a month before the election a scandal or crisis could change the course of the election. Netanyahu wants Trump as president. And he sees how fractured the Democratic coalition is because of Gaza. Starting another war against a muslim Arab nation would be the nail in the coffin for the democrat voters already disgusted with Biden’s policies regarding Gaza. Plus it means a massive regional war where Biden’s loyalty to Israel will force his hand for the US intervene leading to a democratic loss. Netanyahu knows how to make lay the US political game.

Houthi missile landed somewhere in central Israel near the city of Lod. Estimated to be ~1800 to 2000 km.

So the "shrapnel" from the interceptor hit and lit the train station on fire while the actual ballistic missile fell on a farm. Cool story.

Yemen released footage of the 'Palestine 2' ballistic missile's launch

Is sticking hypersonic label on every retirement home age Iskander/ATACMS equivalent US psyop to save face and make it look like they can intercept them.

Or China psyop so westerners don't realize what a manuevering HGV actually does before it's too late.

Well from the general state of things, I think it is safe to say that the general west has no idea what is in store for them in the coming days if they cannot get their heads around the fact that the world isn’t standing still and whatever capabilities the west has is already being accounted for slowly but surely. Whatever Iran, Lebanon and Yemen is doing to Israel right now, will pale in comparison to when they are ready to strike back properly for all those assasinations. All those strikes are done as a probe to see just how capable the Iron dome, Israel premier air defences is and so far against modern ordinances, it isn’t quite the end all or be all that it is supposed to be. Imagine what happens is all of those air defences and air bases in Israel are completely brought down, would Israel be as bellicose as they are now?

Israel declares halting Hezbollah attacks a primary war goal amid escalating regional tensions

The decision follows a series of high-level meetings within Israel’s security Cabinet, which convened late into the night to reassess the nation’s strategic goals.

Lebanese media is reporting that Israel managed to “hack” the pagers and portable radios that Hezbollah uses for internal communications, causing the batteries to explode, simultaneously killing and wounding several Hezbollah members. Reports have it that this event was not limited to Dahiyeh alone, but occurred all over Lebanon, with Hezbollah radios, cell phones and pagers exploding simultaneously.

Some say that this is likely the first wave of the attack on Lebanon – cutting off Hezbollah’s eyes and ears before the initial attack. They decided to shut down Hezbollah’s communications before the attack.

This pager attack seems quite strange, simple but sophisticated to the point I really doubt their version of the story.

Seeing videos of these pager explosions, they're too sizable, quick and violent to be a simple (and tiny!) battery explosion. I suspect they've been manufacturing and selling pagers and devices with small explosives and selling them, disguised among real devices.

Here's a supposed video of the attack, shows someone fiddling with their pager right before it blows up - no blood or gore but I have no clue if the person survived.

Yeah batteries don’t explode like that. But that also begs the question, had no one opened one of these things up in order to inspect them before ordering a ton?

It wouldn't surprise me if nobody noticed this. The strategy I think they took will spread these devices indiscriminately - not just to Hezbollah as they've implied. Also, its not clear how long they've been planting these rigged devices, could just be a few weeks prior. In any case, regular people won't notice the slight weight difference or bother opening up their pagers.

Something I want to add, is that my previous conjecture is just a guess - it could just as easily be that some corrupt Hezbollah person got knowingly or unknowingly provided with rigged devices which he spread at a sweet profit. We can't really know.

But unless this act is followed up by something (invasion, attack etc etc) what is the purpose of this elaborate scheme? Also, why now?

Sounds like BS.
As mentioned above, batteries don't explode like that, they just kind of burst into flames due to thermal runaway. We saw that on the Note 7 famously, we saw that on the Chevy Bolt in a big version.

More likely they had compromised someone in Hezbollah to distribute compromised devices, similar situation has happened before.
