According to Daniel Hagari, Israel’s military spokesman, Iran fired over 300 missiles and drones against Israel, including 120 ballistic missiles and 30 cruise missiles. 99% (!?) were intercepted. US aircraft and two AEGIS destroyers helped Israel achieve that unprecedented interception rate.

Depending on the ballistic missiles fired, this engagement may have seen even SM-3s used for the first time in real combat. Of course, THAAD is also deployed in the theater.
99% of 300. So only 3 made it to their target? Is that what they are claiming?

Yeah. Unless Iran missiles is very bad and Israel have some kind of Star War level technology then intercept 99% is physical impossible IMO.
Most likely this was not a saturation attack and the drones and missile's came in very sparse. I don't know if this is deliberate or Iran is unable to do a saturation attack.

The Iranian say that if Israel retaliates they will strike Israel harder the next time. Indicating that if Israel doesn't respond to this attack that this will be it.

But the Israeli's have already said that they will respond to this attack.

How could the Israelis possibly respond? An attack on the Persian gulf oil facilities seems to be something they're not capable of. The only way to directly attack Iran would be to fly over Syria to Tabriz. But the planes might never return to Israel

185 drones+110 bm+36 cm=331 projectiles
Only 7 bm hit Israel which is roughly 2% of all the projectiles launched.

So it is 98% to be precise.

But this whole ordeal cost Israel more than $1Billion while Iran expended $20 million or so ( the drones costing $20.000 and the missiles $100.000 each). That is a cost ratio of 50!

Israel is very capable to stop such an attack, but wil it be able to stop subsequent waves that the Iranians are able to pull off?

The Israeli's have long range ballistic missile's and they also got missile's on submarines. Or they could use their F-15I Ra'am to attack long distance with mid-air refueling. In the past Israel has carried out long range attacks with their jets from Tunisia to Sudan.

Given enough shooters and a finite number of bogeys arriving in waves, it is theoretically possible.

A 170 of the 320 were drones and only 30 were cruise missiles. Furthermore, not all originated from Israel: Houthis’s fired a small share of those missiles, as did Hezbollah from Lebanon.

Drones take way too long to travel, they get picked off along the way by planes. I guess using drones to cover for BM may have been a bust, the upside is they're probably extremely cheap so why not.

The only hard video evidence we got is the 7 BM hits on the airbase in Negev, and Israel/US claim there're exactly 7 BMs got through out of 110 BMs fired. Is it a little too coincidental? The only ones got through happens to be all caught on video? And they all landed on the same target?
