That is the problem with US politicians. They never consider things through all the way.
They never even bothered to consider that aerial bombing of Yemen would not make them stop attacking ships.
The Saudis bombed Yemen for over a decade together with the UAE. And it's not like they have an insignificant Air Force.
Not only did they not surrender, the Houtis started attacking the Saudi oil infrastructure with cruise missiles.
Yemen is basically a mountainous country. Their armed forces can just hide in the mountains and attack from there.
Attacking their cities won't lead to losses in their army.
The US couldn't win in Afghanistan. Yemen is scarcely better.

Afghan terrain is much more difficult to control, porous from all sides, and had cross-border loyalties. Yemen is sea on two sides and enemy on third side. Oman is the only real supply option but their border is 90% inhospitable desert with only two crossings at Shihan and Sarfayt. Why do you say Yemen is better?

Hamas rockets overwhelm the Iron Dome, struck in Netivot
Map_of_Netivot_cs.png

Navy ships shown being struck by missiles/drones. Cannot verify the footage.

Another clip of naval ship being struck (this may be more reliable). Audio (Arabic): death to America, death to Israel, cursed be the Jews..

Can anyone make the type of ship involved?

Seems like Pakistan is doing a tit for tat with Iran. Hopefully this doesn't escalate since it makes the whole situation awkward for China.
>Iran bombs balochi terrorists in pakistan
>Pakistan replies by bombing balochi terrorists in Iran

As long as both sides don't accidentally hit civilians, it seems like a mutually beneficial arrangement. Hence how fast this happened. The people being bombed are mutual enemies of Iran and Pakistan.

That area has always been a hotbed for smuggling activities. Just look at the minute distance between Yemen and Africa. The US can't even stop drug shipments from South America via cartel submarines and you expect them to cut all maritime smuggling into Yemen? Good luck with that.

They tried to stop it a few days ago, and then lost 2 Navy SEALS, and now insulting our intelligence by saying those 2 fell of a ship on their own lol. What are they, trained professionals or idiots? It shows that even while all of this turbulent attacks are happening, shipments of weapons to Yemen by sea still go on.

I don't know what question you are answering, but certainly not the one I asked.

You were the one who claimed Yemen would have a hard time getting supplied in case of conflict with the US. I just made an argument that they could indeed continue to get supplied in some way. Indeed my initial argument was that the US going into Yemen would just put them into an unwinnable conflict similar to Afghanistan.
