Israeli allegations versus Israeli reality (shocking!!),

Ex-IDF soldiers confess 'using Palestinians as human shields' is a common practice employed by IDF, a tactic known as "straw widow", where a Palestinian civilian home is invaded to conduct military operations while the civilians are locked in a room. By common practice, they mean every night.

Some crazy clips in this video,

1. Man sneaks up to a Merkava and places what appears to be a large IED under the tank!!
2. Good quality sniper shots on IDF soldiers (incl. scope view).
3. IDF campers in building obliterated by rocket.
That IED did some extreme damage. Just to ask, how well does a Merkava tank work in comparison to the tanks used in Ukraine, like the Leopards, the Challenger and the Albram since many of these Merkavas have been destroyed lately. As an interest if the tank quality is at fault or did it is simply the luck of fighting a force that is just that capable in regards to tank destroying.

It's impossible to compare like that. The Israeli conflict is much more like Grozny than it is similar to Ukraine.

While Ukraine war is a global power fighting a major regional power, Israel is a medium regional power fighting a resistance organization. Logically, the scales are much more tipped in Israel's favor, but in reality... Well, what's happening on the ground speaks for itself. Whether it's due to poor tactics, unpredictable levels of enemy coordination/ISR access etc. is not that clear imho.

That is understandable but I was interested more in the specs of the Merkava since I was under the impression that the Merkava was supposed to be a top battle tank with capabilities similar to the Albram during the time when it was cream of the crop. Given how these so called best tanks have faired in Ukraine, being that is as destroyable as any other tank and the only advantage seems to be its branding along with some minor additions in equipment and armory that ultimately amounted to nothing, I am now under the impression that these tanks are just as easy to destroy especially with the IDF is performing worse than they did in previous conflicts and that well their image of invincibility with the US backing is starting to break at the seams

Now Israel killed the Iranian top general in Syria, giving Iran an excuse to move against them harder.

So far Shia militias in Iraq and Syria only tried to blow up some oil fields in Israel with no further involvement,
They are baiting Iran so they can force the US into fighting for them.

It seems to be a mix of poor training and poor tactics. Poor training caused by using conscripts instead of usual force. Standing army seems to be in the north against Hezbolah. Poor tactics due to severely underestimating enemies. They fight in a way to minimize casualty against weak enemy but ineffective against strong. Namely how they prefer to send tanks unprotected by infantry. Yes less death with destroyed tank than infantry screens, but it will waste a tank. Sooner or later they will run out of these expensive equipments, then death will go up again. May as well start using them carefully now.

Interesting that Israel is that worried about Hezbolah. I was under the impression that Israel shouldn’t have trouble against Hezbolah with US backing. Guess I might be wrong

Merkava has some faults and weak spots. Certain armor plates and portions of the tank are weak, susceptible to structural failure if attacked even by an RPG. Most IDF tank losses though appear to be repairable, but how much can you repair and how often is another question. The sloped armor plates on the turret are a real anomaly. Bottom of the tank is the most vulnerable portion, but Palestinians haven't previously shown much interest in IED's.
