Israel attacks Gaza Strip

Hezbollah claimed to have "repelled" Israeli forces near the coastal border town of Naqoura, and the Israeli army said two of its soldiers were killed and nine were wounded in the battle. Hezbollah said one guerrilla was killed.

This has been reported by Reuters.

These sort of small engagements are going to occure as the IDF tries to stop Katyousha launches. From what I understood it was a search and destroy mission and when the searching was done the forces were on their way back when Huzb Allah fighters ambused them which resulted in the firefight. At least one Israeli tank incapacitated in addition to the human Israeli casualties.

Just in: Huzb Allah bunker in south Beirut hit by IAF which supposedly houses senior officials...

Yeah, I heard about that. I doubt that any senior officials were there since the bunker had been hit before.

It turned out to be bogus the whole thing was supposedly a mosque in the process of construction in any case whatever it was there weren't people there.

Note: this supposed 'bunker', whatever it was was not the same one target over and over previously (I'm not even sure that there was a bunker but there has been repeated attacks on that target in dahieh part of Beirut; This target was in a nearby area called Burj Al Barajneh, also in south Beirut)

As I predicted.....2 Israeli AH-64 downed near Lebanon. Also more reports of heavy fighting with losses on both sides. There are some reports of a major Israeli invasion very close to happening of Lebanon to create a 20 mile deep buffer zone.

Not sure if we should talk about lebanon/israel here since it is Gaza thread. But Fox is saying one Cobra also went down killing two pilots

"Israeli authorities confirmed to FOX News that an Israeli Cobra helicopter went down in northern Israel, not far from the border town of Kiryat Shmona. Officials said the pilot and co-pilot were killed. The cause of the crash was not known.

The Israelis are saying the two copters collided, but maybe they were shot down if they came to close to the border....anyway, it's still not clear yet.

Fox is the only source that has reported the Cobra with two pilots dead. All other sources have reported collision of apaches and four pilots injured.

Maybe it's the same story but Fox says it was confirmed to them by IDF.

Fox news is now reporting that 16 Israeli troops have been killed in some very heavy fighting a few hours ago. They are also reporting that Hezbollah may have and will use some sort of nerve gas IF the Israeli invade Lebanon.

16 troops already? Wow....and this is just the outskirts of Lebanon. About the nerve gas part, is that one of Hezbullah's surprises as well?
