I recall that in 2012 a Turkish military aircraft was shot down by Syria in Syrian airspace.

According to BBC News at the time: "Mr Erdogan spoke of Turkey's "rage" at the decision to shoot down the F-4 Phantom on 22 June..."A short-term border violation can never be a pretext for an attack," he said.

Russia has found a first way to hit Turkey: the country is dangerous for tourists because of terrorism.
Turkey is largely dependent on Russian natural gas so there is the possibility of hitting the Turkish economy by cutting off the gas supply.
Turkish companies are very active in Russia and without throwing them out, just by not giving them new contracts Turkey will be severely hit.
All the neighbours of Turkey with the exception of Bulgaria and Azerbaijan are friends of Russia. What will be the effect on them and their effect on Turkey?

That's really good point here! We won't see an all-out war this time I'm sure so it's worth to think about for a while. Closer ties with Central European countries like Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic, Romania? I bet China would be happy about that ;) It seems like mutual love grows between PRC and this region of Europe.

Russian Ministry of Defense admitted the loss of one Mi-8 in SAR operation . They also announced they would escort strike fighters from now on, and would preventively destroy any target presenting potential danger . All military ties with Turkey are cut, Russian citizens are advised not to travel there.
