I thought they showed the NVG last time as a new service equipment along with new uniform and new service rifle. It seemed like all PLA soldiers will get it as standard equipment. If it’s service equipment, then they will have included that in the parade.
No, there were many new stuff in PLA service they didn’t show this year just because it’s not in the parade doesn’t mean they don’t have it and not everything you see in the parade is all they have. They also usually show off the brand new things not the new but older things given 2019 was 6 years

Have you seen the soldiers showing off their beddings in the parade? Does that make you believe PLA soldiers not having standard issued beddings?

That seems like wrong analogy. The soldiers inside PLA vehicles, including missile units were wearing huge backpacks which they don't need during a parade. But they were wearing it just to show what the standard equipment of a soldier looks like. Anyways, they showed the NVG at 2019 parade but chose not to show it this time, which seems to me as an indication that they are probably no longer issuing it to new troops.

Anyways, the reason I am asking because the troops looked high tech last time due to the NVGs and overall modern uniform. This time they look a little less high tech.

The PLA will do just fine.

From what I can see from their parade, they are facing up against the US Army who don't have NVGs issued either. For that matter, they don't even have rifles, other than some M1 Garands and muskets. No plate carriers, no belt kits but I suppose that is okay since misuse of gender pronouns are hurtful and don't require storage pouches..

I'm inclined to believe they wouldn't repeat displays of outdated equipment shown multiple times before (while they certainly didn't showcase their newest, most advanced gear either). This is a strategic approach for military parades—for instance, the relatively newer Type 15 tanks weren't displayed. I can guarantee this definitely isn't because the PLA has completely phased out the Type 15 tanks.

But even if the plate stops a 50, I’m pretty sure you are going to have broken ribs and internal bleeding at a minimum afterwards, so your fight is done. This is just meant to try and save your life, multi-hit capacity is utterly pointless.
I am honestly not sure about that. A 50 cal bullet has a momentum below 45 kg*m/s even at a point blank range. I also remember reading studies on rifle-rated helmets. The momentum of 7.62 mm NATO was found to be too low to cause a neck or skull injury. The 50 cal has five times the momentum. But the torso is a lot more resilient than the neck.

IMO, that's simply because there is no time. You can't show 99B, 100 and 15 without running out of time. 99B was rumored to be only shown due to the higher ups thinking Type 100 is too forward thinking and wanted some traditional heavy armor at the front.
