I thought they showed the NVG last time as a new service equipment along with new uniform and new service rifle. It seemed like all PLA soldiers will get it as standard equipment. If it’s service equipment, then they will have included that in the parade.
No, there were many new stuff in PLA service they didn’t show this year just because it’s not in the parade doesn’t mean they don’t have it and not everything you see in the parade is all they have. They also usually show off the brand new things not the new but older things given 2019 was 6 years

Have you seen the soldiers showing off their beddings in the parade? Does that make you believe PLA soldiers not having standard issued beddings?

That seems like wrong analogy. The soldiers inside PLA vehicles, including missile units were wearing huge backpacks which they don't need during a parade. But they were wearing it just to show what the standard equipment of a soldier looks like. Anyways, they showed the NVG at 2019 parade but chose not to show it this time, which seems to me as an indication that they are probably no longer issuing it to new troops.

Anyways, the reason I am asking because the troops looked high tech last time due to the NVGs and overall modern uniform. This time they look a little less high tech.
