With a max of 220 km thats nearly enough to be detected.
as I said before, it's low flying, so it won't get detected until when it gets into its terminal stage or just before that. Another thing you have to consider is that many SAM cannot operate below a certain altitude. That's what makes low flying AShM so dangerous. They simply cannot be hit by long range SAM. The only SAMs that would work against them are the medium ranged ones. By that time, missiles that have supersonic terminal stage would already be in their terminal stage.

Ever heard of airborn radars? Ka-31?
But anyways. You said that the Klub can avoid detection unlike the Barhmos. I proved otherwise. You seem to forget the Barhmos has the option to sea kim aswell.

what are you talking about? It has a 120 KM sea-skimming range.

Yea so? Did you maybe think the missile could begin it's sea skimming mode out of missile interception range?

but that's the point right? The whole argument about Brahmos being great is its speed and range. If you reduce the range to 120KM, then it's just a faster moskit.

Pakistan will be getting 4 Oliver Perry Class Frigates, AEGIS can be fitted on it. But that's if the PN has enough money. Then the F-22Ps, which need long-range SAMs, maybe Sea Sparrows, Or Apside, or whatever long-range SAM China has. Pakistan needs 2 more Frigates, maybe all of those Type-23s that the RN is retiring can fall into the hands of the PN.

Actually, the AEGIS can be fitted onto the Spruance destroyer Pakistan has been offered by the US. That destroyer, if fitted with AEGIS and a VLS system for SAM's (and hopefully even 1000 mile range cruise missiles) can really boost the power projection of the PN. However, in order to be effective, the PN would need about 3-6 of those destroyers to really counter the IN surface fleet (and those destroyers would each require about two frigates and a sub for an escort).

no, you put AShM on ships, you don't put cruise missiles with 1000 mile range on them. And btw, has Pakistan even achieved a 1000 KM range cruise missile?

As for Aegis, what's the point of getting it if you can only have a 8 cell VLS? Aegis is not just a plug and play system.

Cruise missiles can be converted to Anti ship missiles. The tomahawk orginally was a anti ship missile wasn't it?
