It's not just the aircraft, which really isn't that far off since they just need to make a call on buying from French or US and pay up, it's not like they're building the planes.I am trying to find any news on India's indigenous A.C. that was supposed to be handed over to the Indian Navy in time for the Republic Day celebration but unfortunately such exciting news did not happen or was not televised because the carrier does not yet have any fighter planes on board. The Indian government seems to be at an impasse on which platform to select between U.S. F/18 Super hornet or French made Rafale.
This important factor did not seem to factor in with respect to the Indian news presenter along with the Indian expert boldly proclaiming that INS Vikrant is a game changer against yet again China.
Are you serious? Then what was the point of that sea trial stuff that they did though? I would have assumed that such trials require all the electronics, radars etc...to be installed on any A.C. for set up and teetering issues or am are my comments incorrect? It's not just the aircraft, which really isn't that far off since they just need to make a call on buying from French or US and pay up, it's not like they're building the planes.
The carrier is also missing her arrestor cables and her radars, she's got a way to go yet.

The AFC (aviation flight complex), which is being supplied by Russia’s Nevskoe Design Bureau (NDB), has faced recurring delays owing to its bespoke design requirements to meet the Indian Navy’s specific operational needs, alongside differences over its eventual cost, and is unlikely to be fully installed and functional till 2023-end, sources in the Indian Navy said. They said a large proportion of the AFC that involves over 300 hi-tech compartments comprising the command centre, diesel alternators, power supply and heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems and a myriad other sundry components like arrestor wires and aircraft guiding lights, had already been delivered to Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL) and awaited fitment by Russian technicians. Some diverse AFC equipment, on the other hand, is on order and is yet to be delivered.
Another delay and yet I never stop hearing, reading, watching from the cacophony of YouTube experts western and Indians alike how awesome the Indian military is or how EFFICIENT INDIAN TECHNOLOGY SPECIALLY THEIR ISRO.
I am curious why they choose 7.62x39mm Soviet ranther than 5.56x45mm NATO. 556 has better performance and it has been used in INSAS rifle.I wonder if that solider has already been fired for poking the defense minister with his big azz rifle
