Do you mean variants of Tejas or of different fighters overall?

I wasn't aware it was the former. If the latter I guess that's a result of trying to boost the Indian airforce as quickly as possible from multiple countries, without sacrificing the domestic industry.

In any event, no doubt there will be more commonality into the 2030s as large numbers of single types of aircraft are procured.

Tejas, ORCA, TEBDF, Tejas Mark 1A, Tejas 2, AMCA.

Coupled with Jaguars, Bisons (probably retired in next few years), MKIs, MiG-29 (at least two variants), Mirage-2000, and Rafales. Possibly F-15EX, Super Hornet, and/or F-21IN.

If I’m not mistaken different Tejas variants already use different engines (F-404 vs F-414).

I'm confused a little watching the use of "loyal wingmen" here.
AFAIK, india has zero knowledge about data-network centric warfare, let alone AINN.

Have these project started or still in poster?

The drones have gone from theory to brochure form and into 3D models. Will probably come after AMCA. Rustom is still being perfected and the thing looks like high school project level of sophistication. Rrrrrrrooooos-tom

I don't really know how capable of India Air Force. But after reading news and report of HAL project i feel like future combat air superiority will belongs to IAF. No joke, the mighty Tejas MAX with CATS and lot of cool stuff like PTAE-7, ALFA, NGCCM and CATS Hunter, Warrior. PLAAF will be no match for IAF. And when time come Tejas will transformation to G.U.N.D.A.M then the defender of Earth against Alien invasion will be IAF. Jai Hind

If only Jai Hind magic behind bragging power and paper models are effective in real combat.

The LCA MK1A cost just Rs 300 crores & trainer 280 crores, so don't divide 48 thousand crore with 83 bcuz that includes taxes, customs, training, facility, spares Ammunition, Weapons System's and other things: HAL CMD R.Madhavan.
