Is it normal to give so much detail in public about the equipment required ? Or this is just to start the ball rolling and actual specifications will be different ?

this RFI was issued back in 2016....look like they wanted to replace BM-42 Mango in service which is being licenced by OFB.... at least 2,00,000 rounds were to be procured..... bigger rounds will require new autoloader....more from RFI
... and this seems to be the most recent image of the INS Vikrant (IAC-1) under construction at Cochin shipyard.
