Hong-Kong Protests

It would be a shame if some of the unpaid internet moderators who spread misinformation and riled up rioters escaped justice because they deleted their accounts.
Yeah it would be but I supposed knowing that their actions amounted to nothing and basically having to bear witness to a HK that is slowly changing in a manner that will feel like a place they do not belong because of how their so called freedom and democracy is basically being taken away for good is good enough for these freaks. All I can say there is that they ‘reap what they sow’ and hope that their future generations dont find out about their failures because then they would be known as losers. It’s kinda funny that their acts to help the west so to speak basically spelt the literal death of their movement that much quicker since none of us really here about the likes of Nathan anymore. Now if only the same can happen in Taiwan in the near future….

Anyone know what happened with /r/hongkong moderator misswolverine aka nahcamme aka Emma Chan? All of the moderator team got removed or resigned shortly after the NSL passed, but it was relatively easy to identify some of the most inflammatory of them during the height of the riots.

She left around the time the Beijing Genocide Games propaganda was a flop and Ukraine NAFO bros started popping out without even a goodbye. I just assume 'she' either lost funding or got reassign to NAFO.

She held that reddit as hostage for years. R/hongkong is at least bearable now until a few usual suspects start pushing politics into it

Is she even confirmed to be a real person or can it be another Kong Tsung Gan thing

miss_wolverine or nahcamme stopped moderating because Hong Kong police arrested the anonymous administrators of several separatist Facebook groups.

This was reported on August 10th, 2022. She stopped moderating that day.

The implication is that Hong Kong can learn the real identity of online separatists. miss_wolverine was in real danger of jail - even if she moved abroad and just occasionally visited Hong Kong.

The r/hongkong sub has dramatically improved since she left, and now patriotic voices can be heard there.

I'm curious though. How did people know that miss_wolverine was Emma Chan or nahcamme? I never figured that out.

Read nahcamme backwards, see what you get :)

That makes sense for "nahcamme" and Emma Chan. But how do you connect nahcamme to "miss_wolverine"?
That account had a post in 2014 in instagramshots or some other subreddit after winning a photography contest linking to her instagram account nahcamme. Emma Chan happens to be the name of a Chinese graduate of University of Michigan, the mascot of which is the Wolverines.
