H-6 Bomber Aircraft Discussions

Oh... come on, people. It is just a name, for goodness sake. Seriously...

Of course we wouldn't expect the Chinese to call her aircraft flying sparrow or winged rabbit, right? It is a bomber... of course the Chinese will call it something aggressive or sounding invincible... but whether it really is invincible or not, remains to be seen.

You purposely use a awkward name to prove your point which is not Valid. Who the hell the called a fighter/combat jet rabbit wing? Why not spear eagle. Or fiery dragon as you tryng to prove your point? And I doubt PLAAF is that loose with aircraft naming. Like golden helmet is as bench mark for top pilot.

Haiz... again you miss my point. Really... is my English that bad that you do not understand what I am trying to say?

What I meant was... Whatever name the Chinese chose to name their aircraft... it was nothing but a name... And of course in naming, no one would expect the Chinese to call their aircraft winged rabbits, of course they would come up with something aggressive and strong, something like "God of War" or "fiery dragon" and the such.

Oh... and one more thing... I NEVER SAID that the Chinese WOULD call their aircraft winged rabbits thingies. I say, no one WOULD expect the Chinese to call their aircraft winged rabbits. And that is my point. And my whole point was that... whatever the Chinese chose to call their aircraft... that is just a name... nothing more... Jeez...

I hope that is clear enough and no more misreading of my post and jumping the gun, huh?

I don't think so... I think the name they give do have a meaning for what they want it to be.. For example, dark sword UCAV. In Chinese meaning, something like hidden weapon/sword. This is very related to stealth technology and fits very well what this UCAV will do.
Same as Shenzhou spacecraft.. I think you shall know why Its called that.. And tiangong-1 /-2 space station. They do have a meaning and is not because it sounds nice. And final example will be CJ-10 cruise missile. I don't think I need to explain to you why they called this particular cruise missile CJ if you understand Chinese.

I bet the namer of H-6K "God Of war" knows the significant of this name... And some reason why its entitle it to be.

Well... since we can't agree with one another, then I will leave it there. Think of it as whatever you want... to me... that is just a name, nothing more... if it symbolise anything... then it would be because the aircraft might carried cruise missiles or whatever air launched missiles to be able to strike at opponent at a standoff distance...

I will leave it here... say whatever you will after that. Have a good evening, gentleman.

(PS. I understand Chinese, and I don't need YOU to explain anything to me. Because I believe that whatever the Chinese or anyone call their weapon, unless it is a specific name, like nuclear missile, cruise missile, ballistic missile... all the other denotation, be it God of War, Dark Sword, Raptor or whatever, are frankly just names.)

Stalin the man of steel of Russia called Artillery the god of Battle. Aggressive names for military hardware is nothing new in fact its SOP. In a actual conventional fight though these bombers like the American B52 are dinosaurs. Its only real use is to try and launch long range missiles. The best use otherwise is in non conventional conflict where they can pound the living hell out of a enemy in open territory.

I thought Stalin was an atheist :p

Oh Stalin believed in himself alright. But there are plenty of non-aggressive names for military hardware that fit fairly well. Look at the B2 'Spirit' or the AW101 'Merlin'. Of course you don't want to name your bomber 'butterfly'...just something that fits well.

can H-6K drop guided bomb?according to the russian avaition mag. said it can.
but that could imply that H-6K carry some sort rotary launcher.despite the fact "belly" may not wide enought to accommidate rotary launcher,(unless it's down size version)

I was under the impression that the 6k does not have internal bomb storage. I see what looks like a door underneath the belly of the rearward 6k.
