a clean sheet.

rumour on the street anyways.

but it is in the works for a while.

any one heard?

Have heard too. To be expected anyway.
With the experiences from stealth, big jet, engines, fly wing UAV from recent years & PLAAF's gaping hole here, unless AVIC
suddenly decides to close shop & send everyone home for an early retirement, a stealth strategic bomber is the natural next step.
Would have been far more surprised if they don't have such a program.
I see a first flight in 3 years.

For reference, ATB bomber program began in 1979, in 1981 the winning preliminrary design was chosen. it was detailed and worked on until 1989. when the first prototype flew.

So, realistically, if there was already a serious design proposal which got funding at the beginning of this year, it may be there won't be first flight until 2020.

I agree. I think China working on a new stealth bomber is one of the worst kept secret in military aviation lol. it's almost .. almost up there with the the US working or should I say NOT working on a SR-71 replacement if the darn 'Aurora' plane hasn't been right out flying for years.
