In a recent article, XAC says its production capacity of H-6K can not satisfy the need of PLAAF.

Yes, that is impressive for that old girl...who'd a thunk the old Badgers would be updated and have six large, long range ALCMs strapped to them and still be flying in front line service? A tribute to what the PRC engineers have been able to accomplish.
As I said, they are serving the same role for the PLAN that the B-52 is for the US. A long range, ACLM carrier...though in wars like Afghjanistan or Iraq, where there is no real anti-air threat, they are also used to drop closer range, and even "dumb" weapons.
The other difference of course, in the ALCM role, is that the B-52 carries twenty ACLMs. Six under each wing and eight in the rotary bay launcher.
Nonetheless, both aircraft are about the same age...the Badger was introduced in 1954, the B-52 first in 1955. But these Chinese aircraft, as I understand it, are new build aircraft for the PRC, and the US Air Force is using B-52H aircraft last built in 1961, but which are regularly, thoroughly overhauled. Amazingly, plans now call for the B-52Hs to serve until 2045, even after the "Next Generation Bomber" is built and deployed. They are just too reliable and effective at what they do!
Still they would all have been destroyed by fatigue and old age but for careful design and maintenance. How long ago is it that a four engine version with RB.211 engines was proposed?B-52 is still flying today because the basic concept of a massive bomb truck hasn't change since WW2. That technology reach it's apex back when the old girl was built and NOTHING has come along since then to better the basic fundamental concept of aerial bombing. I believe that is the reason why she is still flying today and continue to fly many decades from now.
Sure you have B1s, B2s and dozens other bombers etc that has since come online BUT when stealth is not required, the B-52 is still the most effective weapons carrying platform. If all you need to do is drop massive amounts of ordnance on the cheap or from a long distance away via cruise missiles etc with no credible threats from the ground or air the B-52 is still the most effective way to go. The only thing that she may possibly need in the future is maybe better and longer range engines but that's about it. To me it's like the Colt 1911. I mean the gun has basically remain unchanged for over 100 yrs and yet it is still being mass produced and is as practical and deadly today as it was back then.
