A Chinese company told you there wasn't enough funding to listen to you on a key technology area? LOLOL Very polite, aren't they? In the West, they just tell you your probationary period has concluded and you did not meet their expectations.
Shut your one trick money mouth.
I present them a detailed analysis as to what tools they need to acquire. And cost associated.
They realize this project too big for them..

Real cute with your imagination.
Come in here with your stupidity try to side track thing, diverting attention.

Thats your fucking role in this forum, a fucking troll

You're right; it's really hard to believe that the founder of a mega tech company spends his time inventing things instead of shouting at the media or cursing at people on forums. LOL I never mix anything with true result, which is why I must always point out that despite all your "analysis," Huawei continues to grow and lead 5G.

Oooohh, somebody's very touchy about getting fired... Very very classy rebuttal you've got there; hard to see why companies wouldn't want to work with someone as level-headed as you LOL

No project is too big if the technology is worth it. The Chinese government will fund it. But projects can be too stupid and poorly planned to go forward with...

China Hawking in the Time of Covid: Hate, Huawei, Taiwan, and TSMC

This can be said for the entire trade war, but it was never about the money. Anyone who still thinks that its about the money, or that the US and Taiwan wont do X,Y, or Z because it costs a lot is out of date. Economics has subordinated itself to politics because Trump, representing the most vicious disruption of the status quo imaginable, is also the greatest opportunity to rewrite the rules for a generation. An opportunity like that is priceless.

Select excerpts from this analysis.

And we are getting closer to a blow-up. Not because the PRC is eager to invade Taiwan and conquer the renegade province.

Because the Taiwan government under the DPP and Tsai Ing—wen have abandoned a posture of trying to occupy a middle ground between the United States and the People’s Republic of China, and is positioning itself as a US anti-China containment asset at the heart of what US strategists love to call the “First Island Chain”—the collection of islands keystoned by Japan, Taiwan, and the Philippines that in the good old days created an impregnable ring of US military forces on China’s eastern border.

There’s enough Taiwan soft power hoohah to fool the rubes, but Taiwan is now a US anti-China asset: spurning engagement with the mainland, tag-teaming with the US on anti-PRC propaganda campaigns, buying US arms, deepening military cooperation and integration with Japan and the US, and threatening PRC core interests.

The main core interest that the PRC is concerned about revolves around four letters: TSMC.

They roadtested the program in 2018 by issuing a ban on sales to Huawei’s baby brother, a PRC telecoms company called ZTE, for violation of North Korean sanctions. The Taiwan government obligingly instructed a chip supplier MediaTek (whose chips are made by TSMC) to halt sales to ZTE and obtain export licenses.

So, the test was successful and it was evident that Taiwan would follow US restrictions if and when it came time to drop the hammer on Huawei.

But Nikkei reported on May 19 that Huawei has stopped taking chip orders from Huawei.

This is pretty speedy cooperation since the Huawei ban was only announced last Thursday, the Federal Register didn’t even formally publish it until this week, and it’s supposed to be implemented in the form of an export license application/refusal process presumably involving an appeal mechanism.

TSMC hasn’t confirmed the report, which might mean that Nikkei, a reliable Asian outlet for China hawks, might be doing a bit of frontrunning and perception management. But if it is true, and TSMC went into the Arizona project knowing it was going to cut off Huawei sales, the U.S. plant looks more like surrender to the U.S. and its plans to onshore semiconductor production.

As to how quickly things go south, that’s pretty much up to Donald Trump. I think the China hawks who grunt the details in think tank land have a conservative strategy based on gradual buildup, positioning, a critical mass of international support, and incremental nibbling followed by a crisis, manufactured or not, in cross-strait relations that results in full U.S. recognition of the Republic of Taiwan.

Hey, maybe in 2024 when that TSMC plant in Arizona is ready to chunk out semiconductors!

Donald Trump, on the other hand, might decide to pull the trigger on Taiwan recognition over his morning corn flakes, driven by his obsession with dominating the news cycle and the desire to show the American electorate that he, not Joe Biden, is the craziest China asskicker in the American political nuthouse.

Whatever happens, I expect that playing the TSMC card in May 2020 will be remembered as a crucial inflection point in the US program to break Chinese power.

I thought there was a door to negotiation, but the Trump administration seems determined to destroy Huawei

For me the only way to strongly respond is to ban the export of rare earths to the USA, it is only with strong action that they will understand.

China must give 90 days to US companies who want rare earths to prove that they have no connection to the pentagon, without the rare earths the US economy will be destroyed

There is no guarantee that Trump will lose in November and there is no way Biden will just lift all restrictions on Huawei. As other members have pointed out previously, it's the general direction of U.S. foreign policy towards China regardless of administration.

China will 100% hit back but may wait till closer to U.S. elections to determine the appropriate response. I don't see why China would not just cancel the Phase 1 trade deal and save the rare earth metals card for later. Cancelling the phase 1 deal is a direct blow to Trump's credibility right before the election and hurts his supporters (farmers). The last thing the U.S. needs right now is increased tariffs and farmers needing to be bailed out (again).

IMO the key concern for a Chinese retaliation is not to scare off neutral countries who are doing business in China.
