So getting Harpoons for 3x their price is quite ok
According to the Taiwanese military they managed to shoot down a civilian drone this morning with bullets.
I don't think tracking this stat is relevant. No nation recognizes this so called ADIZ that extends into territory that has been government held for decades.
Therefore normal PLA operations always cross these areas as part of their routine transfers from 1 part of the mainland to another. They're not harassed by the rebel army that lacks aerial capabilities overall, especially at any major ranges.
The only important flights are ones that go over rebel held territory or at least fly towards Taiwan Island before turning back.
"Taiwan Air Traffic Control Authority" is an illegal organization squatting on Chinese territory. It has no authority to do anything
There is a real danger with using sniper rifles. The powerful rounds can go quite far, so any missed shots can injure and even kill quite a distance away. Hope that they are sure that areas are clear before firing.
We’ll see if live fire will deter future drone incursions.
