Normally when one of those Eastern European country try to provoke China like Lithuania they're kind of too small for China to grasp and lay the smack down. In this case its there's a big opportunity to put the hurt on Ukraine.

Of course it's trivial if CPC doesn't care about sanctions. Just openly supply Russia with arms. But I doubt that would happen so it has to be done with more creative means. Hence why the first thing I could think of was sending PGMs like Krasnopol and KAB-500L back to Russia. If found on the battlefield there's plausible deniability.

Ayi has said earlier on in the war that the greater the NATO involvement the more incentive there is for China to increasingly support Russia, as all that NATO ammo and weapon getting used up in Ukraine mean less for Taiwan in the future. With HIMARS and HARM showing up it makes sense to send Russia some support. Anyone else have any ideas for support with plausible deniability?

1. send Su-30s back for "test and maintenance".

2. don't mind some Russian tourists that visit Huaqiangbei and are very interested in cheap analog semiconductors

3. support Russian automobile industry with engine parts, ABS, airbag computers, etc.

4. 122 mm shells with Russian serial numbers

5. Russian civilian shipping loves 6 wheeled Dongfeng trucks.

A pretty smart option would be shipping kits of drones and artillery to Iran or NK for assembly, where afterwards, these pieces are sold or lend leased to Russia.

Why go this roundabout way when China hardly has anything to fear from directly supporting Russia? Because by doing so, China will tie Iran and NK much closer to itself and to Russia.

These 2 nations have a (justified) hatred against America, so anything that's anti American they can reasonably be convinced to do. By following these measures, China will greatly increase military cohesion between 4 nations that all have rather large militaries and their own tech development.

Pursuing collective defense is China's best bet as US seems more and more likely to press claims on Taiwan Island.

Interesting perspective, so in exchange for Pelosi's 15 minutes of fame, China was able to demonstrate a hegemonistic claim in its regional backyard that basically went unchallenged or was not likewise immediately challengable by the current global hegemon... if so, thats certainly not an even exchange... Biden could have put a stop to this but didnt, and so at first I just assumed the reason must have been US was going full scale war immediately no matter what.... turns out there was no 5D Chess?!?
