On August 3, the PLA Eastern Command continued the exercise in the direction of Taiwan. In the morning, the PLA Air Force sent an AWACS aircraft, Jian-11 and Jian-20 fighter jets, bombers and other aircraft from various airfields to the Taiwan area to carry out air defense tasks, organize early warning and tactical aircraft guidance, gain air superiority, suppress enemy communications channels, and increase pressure. The PLA Navy sent destroyers "Changchun" (b.n. 150) Type 052C and "Nanjing" (b.n. 155) Type 052D to the waters around the island of Taiwan to organize air defense.
