Agreed with the points you made. I am going to refrain from making comments while am still quite annoyed that Pelosi wasn't harassed with her visit to Taiwan, China. And the fact that she's able to pen an OP-ED for her visit just elevated my anger I have against this insulting move made against China.

Sometimes, I wish that Xi had Duterte's craziness lol..
Well. I have already commented before that China will let Pelosi live. I have even mentioned that the Taiwan and the Western MSM will do their victory laps. I just knew that China is not interested in Pelosi's corpse, Taiwan is the prize.

I have never seen any official statements from China that said that they want to shoot down Pelosi. It's only the crazy media voices like Hu Xijin and public discussions that created this hype of shooting down Pelosi. Good thing these idiots are censored now. The CPC and the PLA will never do something so rash and irresponsible as to directly start a war with the US. I had fully expected them to give the US an offramp in a potential AR. Killing Pelosi will corner the US into a war with China. It's too messy.

Looking at the bigger picture. Let the US and friends crow at their PR victory. They don't realize the fuze that they have lit. This Pelosi political stunt have given China all the excuses it needs to stage it's forces around Taiwan. It has also eliminated up any hesitation by China to take action against the US economically and diplomatically.

Taiwan is not out of the woods. Not even close. Once Pelosi departs Taiwan, we shall see what the PLA does. They'll do their exercises and give Taiwan no peace of mind. AR could happen at anytime after Pelosi's visit. As I have mentioned before. Wars don't tend to start from standoffs. Wars tend to start out of the blue, often to the surprise of the defenders.

I've read a few MSM news praising how 'calm' those Boba Taiwanese were. Like they have gotten used to empty threats from the PRC. Well, that's complancency right there. Let them celebrate this PRC PR setback. PR matters shit in a war, as Ukraine had demonstrated. What truly matters is the hard power. Those arrogant Boba Taiwanese will have no idea what is coming for them.

I will agree with your point that the CPC sucked big time with their PR. During the attempted HK color revolution, they were robotic and clueless. During the US's Xinjiang genocide slander, they used classroom-level propaganda to counter US lies. During the Covid pandemic, they were all over the place. During the Galwan incident, they were missing for 8 months. Now, during this Pelosi's political stunt, they've gone over-the-top with their threats. They've allowed Hu Xijin and his ilk to run their mouths too much.

Nevertheless, we must be objective. The media and PR in order countries are not that much better too. There is plenty of idiocy in the US, UK, Europe, and India. Russia seems to be doing relatively well, but even they too have made PR blunders in their Ukraine War. So don't worry too much about the CPC's legitimacy or Xi's 3rd term. They are not going to go down just because Pelosi insulted them. The Chinese people will eventually forgive and move-on from this yet-another PR fiasco.

Pfft... Firing from a safe distance does not impress the mainland folks anymore. If the PLAAF flies into Taiwan sure that would be impressive, but they won't for obvious reasons. And according to some frustrated idiots like us in China, the reason the PLAAF don't want to is because their planes are junk a.k.a.Made in China lol

Galwan was done on purpose. They knew Jai Hind media would lie their ass off, so they needed them to go on the record - officially, not just from private media - with lies. Then release photos to humiliate them. It was brilliant.

Rest I agree with.

Well folks I hope you all enjoy the Kabuki theater Show, a major take away there are still Adults inside the Brandon administration and they're able to rein in the kinder garden brats like Blinken, Sullivan and even Pelosi. Milley maybe a political general BUT at least he is rational, no major commander want a military disaster under his watch.

China Warns Airlines Operating in Asia to Avoid Areas Near Taiwan as Tensions Rise

China warned airlines operating in Asia to avoid flying in areas around Taiwan where it is conducting military exercises in response to US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s visit to the island.

An official notice was sent at late on Tuesday Hong Kong time, designating six areas of airspace as “danger zones,” according to carriers who received the message and Jang Chang Seog, a Korean transport ministry official. Flights will be restricted from 12 p.m. Aug. 4, to 12 p.m. Aug. 7.

Pelosi flew to Taipei late on Tuesday as the highest-ranking American politician to visit Taiwan in 25 years, prompting China to condemn the visit and unveil a series of economic and military responses. China considers the island, a vibrant democracy and a key supplier of semiconductors, as part of the country. Taiwan remains the most sensitive issue between the US and China, with the potential to one day spark a military conflict.

announced adjustments to several flights, citing “flow control” in Fujian. Korean Airlines Co. is planning to re-route some routes to South Asia in order to avoid Taiwan’s airspace during the period of China’s military exercises, a spokeswoman said by text message.

pilots were advised to carry 30 minutes worth of extra fuel for possible rerouting in Taiwan.

Calls and messages to China’s civil aviation authority weren’t immediately returned.

Local branches of China’s maritime safety administration also issued multiple warnings for ships traversing certain territories, citing military exercise and firing practice, according to government statements.

The disruption at airliners came as tensions escalate between the US and China while companies are grappling with global supply-chain snags sparked by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. It’s not clear whether the three-day flight ban would be extended, adding to concerns over soaring commodity prices and supply chain risks.

At Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport, one of the mainland airports close to Taiwan, 123 flights were canceled, while 79% of flights were operating as usual, according to data provider Variflight. At Fuzhou Changle International Airport in Fujian, 93 flights were scrapped and 74% flights were operating as normal.

Following up the notice, South Korea’s transport ministry issued another notice to local airlines to reaffirm the safety of flights heading toward Taiwan, Jang said.
