You have Hu Xijin
If you take Hu Xijin as anything more than - how to put this nicely - an "entertainer", that's on you.
Am I the guy who invented the “self immolation” statement which came from Xi himself?
It was an appropriately vague threat China can realize whenever it suits it. You're the one who blew it up to "we're going to start WWIII right now!"

what happens if us navy decides to escort uk delegation in autumn? does china take the L again in order not to get the americans involved?
china should have never taken the bait, now there's no more ambiguity: as of now, china won't engage the americans, they have found out and they'll push things as they see fit, imposing their timeline.
for all we know, the us could wait a couple of months and then embolden the dpp to declare independence. Sure, that's the red line for AR, but if they publicly reiterate that they'll stand by taiwan, what will china do, attack? and risk involving the americans?
today's events show that china is not ready or willing to fight the americans. Maybe that was common knowledge, I don't know, I'm just saying that there was some sort of ambiguity before, and now there's no more, to china's detriment

We must demonstrate that we took action, even if our actions are meaningless
Oh shit, he's trying to mirror Pelosi's visit... and every US pacific alliance... and Americans sailing ships around China's new islands in the SCS.

Edit: Wait, I just read it and you made that up. Nowhere in there does anybody say that. That's just another American projecting American values on China.

How about the other smaller nations? If China becomes a warmonger, many smaller nations would be much more wary of even working with China. Why do you think China spends so much time working with those smaller nations and cultivating win win ties with them? It’s because not being a warmonger reassures those nations that China won’t abuse its power.
Smaller countries see that China cannot or will not defend it's own interests so they'll play hardball in economic negotiations, sell basing rights to foreign regimes and trust a certain foreign currency.

You're just venting but if you're not Chinese saying this shit, then there's fundamentally wrong with you. You're either brain dead for saying such idiotic dumb take or you're being racist.

Go look at the rest of his posts, with multiple Braveheart references supporting a war over this I am pretty sure he is Chinese :p

Oh shit, he's trying to mirror Pelosi's visit.

Xi visiting San Francisco coming soon?

Because it's domestic theater. China is dealing with several existential problems right now, so getting people in line about the Taiwan question is good theater.
Existential threats? Lol why? Because their economic performance wasn't up to expectations? Aren't all western economies are essentially in recession? Yet those countries including the U.S. isn't bring discussed as facing terminal threat now are we?

And Pelosi's stunt was of substance? By virtue of her capacity and role as a CONGRESSWOMAN her role in affecting Foreign Policy is ZILCH. That avenue belongs solely to the executive branch which is headed by the President through his appointed SOS in this case Bumbling Blinken.

Before you make any provocative comments you ought to at least consider that your audience, even if predominantly See See Pee sympathizers and Chinese we are more than familiar to the American system than Americans to the Chinese. We ain't stupid or ignorant.
