Hey guys, just some updated pictures on the sensors and ECM on 054A. We see the picture below is the new EO Tracker on 054A. On 054, we see OT-3 EO Tracker at top of the bridge. Now, we see a pair of EO Trackers on either side of the front mast. I also attached a photo of the same EO Tracker being tested on 891 below.

The remaining pictures shows the LWR on 3 different sections of the ship. One is right under the lightbulb datalink in the aft mask, notice the one with green light (that's not lit in the photo)? And the other one is beside the hangar, in the picture it's left of the FCRs. (Again green light) Finally, one at the bridge, just above the windows. They come in pairs, so there are 6 of them.

As always, tphuang, great pics.

Is there any word or evidence of the PLAN putting anymmore 54As on the ways? I am somewhat surprised that after building four of them so quickly that they seem to have just stopped. I understood the stoppage after the initial two 054s, but it seemed that they had worked out the bugs and enhancements they wanted and would proceed with quite a few 054As.

I guess this year will show us. Perhaps they have found a few more wrinkles they need to iron out and additional mods.

They should have more this year that is a slight upgrade over the first 4. I think part of the problem is that HP shipyard is getting a new location, so 054A will start there again once the new location is complete. But time will tell. I'm sure they want to fix some of the original problems they found in 054A and also need to produce the necessary engines for 054A.

photos of the first 2 054A in service with ESF as 529 and 530. As you see, there are also pictures of 526, 136 around them.

Now that:

Is a very fit and squared away looking guided missile frigate. Very impressive and lots of capabilities. If the ASW capabilities improve, these vessels would be a very worthy and powerful addition to any SAG, or ultimately to any CSG.

So is there any news or spotting of new construction?

No sign in either shipyards. I don't think it will begin in HP until the new and expanded shipyard there is completed.
