Good ol' Bill Sweetman doing what he does best, putting the boot into F35:

Sweetman is a one trick pony with an agenda, and his vaunted 6th generation Gripen has been taking years longer than it should. A re-engined Gripen with a new Radar that has taken over a decade to produce and even Saab is openly disappointed at the lack of interest in Bill's favorite fighter. Meanwhile all the countries like Romania, and Hungary that the Gripen should have been "ideal" for going with F-35s.
Bill can end his career complaining about F-35 but his baby lost, and the F-35 is still around. I never found the man to be honest which was a boon to the F-35 because its main detractor was also not trustworthy. he made very bizarre "tongue in cheek" style British quips that were designed to show his cleverness but typically aged very poorly.
If Bill had managed to stay somewhat unbiased and kept it professional I'm sure he would have done better against F-35, but here he is on X reading and highlighting things he didn't even write himself, like anyone else on the internet
meanwhile we know what 6th generations are shaping up to be, and its not reengined 1980s light fighters that finally got into service in the 1990s before needing a nearly immediate redesign and update.
