把外来模式生搬硬套到历史文化及国情截然不同的国家水土不服,最终难以立足。一个政权没有人民支持是立不住的,用强权及军事手段解决问题只会使问题越来越多。这方面的教训值得认真反思。

"Imposing a foreign form of governance in total disregard of local history, culture, and national reality will not stand. A regime without popular support will not stand. Resorting to brute power and military means will only create more problems rather than resolving them."

The Chinese side is taking full rhetorical advantage of the ongoing US tactical error in order to further discredit Washington's Wilsonian foreign policy.

I just realized one other fallout from the Afghan-withdraw debacle — China has zero interest in trade negotiations with the Biden administration right now. What has transpired can potentially derail Biden’s reelection the same way COVID derailed Trump’s. What’s the point of making any concessions when Trump will tear up the deal when he is inevitably president again?

I also realized as of now that I get the feeling that both China and Russia are becoming more and more angrier as the year goes on while the USA is becoming more and more scared as well. One must wonder what will happen when China and Russia are fully prepared and also what would happen if the USA really does devolve into chaos because you can be sure that both nations are not going to miss the opportunity to unleash some serious payback

One news cycle, no matter how bad, does not mean Trump will win again. That being said, China will not concede its industrial policy especially now that its being mimicked in the West.

Biden and the Democrats letting the Republicans lead on US foreign policy on China is a huge mistake. Biden is only doing it to counter the accusations by Republicans that's he's in bed with China. There is nothing Biden can do to change that perception. Sino-US hostility is only going to get worse for the US. Biden is going to have reverse course on China policy because the US ain't winning there either and he doesn't have much time left in order to see the rewards of it take effect by the next election. Yeah there's going to be a point probably mid-term that if Biden doesn't change course, China might as well do nothing because the next Republican President isn't going to be China-friendly so why bother?

@AssassinsMace Sir my thoughts, with the messy withdrawal in Afghanistan, we may see a Harris Presidency by 2022. The good thing is with infighting inside the Democratic party (Harris is unpopular and a Obama 2.0) their focus is internal and that may have given China precious time to rearm itself before the next Republican President enter office in 2025. Sir 2025 is the crucial year, if China is able to increase and partially achieved its COMPHRENSIVE NATIONAL POWER then it can able to withstand any pressure from the West and force them to acknowledged China as their PEER.

In a interview aired by ABC News on Thursday, Biden was asked about the effects of the chaotic U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan and responses in Chinese media telling Taiwan this showed Washington could not be relied on to come to its defense.

Biden replied that Taiwan, South Korea and NATO were fundamentally different situations to Afghanistan and appeared to lump Taiwan together with countries to which Washington has explicit defense commitments.

"They are ... entities we've made agreements with based on not a civil war they're having on that island or in South Korea, but on an agreement where they have a unity government that, in fact, is trying to keep bad guys from doin' bad things to them," he said.

"We have made - kept every commitment. We made a sacred commitment to Article 5 that if in fact anyone were to invade or take action against our NATO allies, we would respond. Same with Japan, same with South Korea, same with - Taiwan. It's not even comparable to talk about that."

"Plausible deniability" again on the issue of strategic ambiguity versus strategic clarity pertaining to potential US response to PRC takeover of Taiwan. This time it comes from Biden himself.

Interesting. Maybe I'm wrong.

In its full context it does sound concerning.

I nearly smash my TV in. Anybody from the U.K. here see the hatchet job the BBC on their BBC 2 channel on China. The programme is called "China's magic weapon"

A whole hour no expenses spare on demonizing China. From Australia with the Chinese students classify as China's agents to the U.K. interviewing Hong Kong used condoms alleging police "brutality".(because the uaed condoms beem pepper sprayed, But no mention that in the U.S. you're likely to get sprayed by real bullets). And then the consulate closure of Houston, trying to suggest China must be guilty of what the U.S. accused them of....... Because they were burning paper work in the yard! Lol. (So the embassy in Kabul burning all theur documents must be guilty of something then)!
