BEIJING, April 23 -- Good news about the aircraft carrier Fujian arrived on the eve of the 74th birthday of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) Navy, which falls on Sunday.

According to a video report of China Central Television on April 22, China's third aircraft carrier Fujian is now successfully conducting power and mooring tests.

On June 17, 2022, a ceremony was held to celebrate the launching and naming of the Fujian ship, and subsequent tests and mooring trials were successfully carried out. As the Fujian ship further completes sea trials and eventually achieves combat effectiveness, the PLA Navy will truly step into the era of three aircraft carriers.

The Fujian has now been 10+ months in the fitting out process. I suppose 2-4 months before the first sea trial?

The new video published by PLAN perhaps implies the first sea trial will be at June 10th as they did this last year before launch.
